    Abstract: The disclosure relates to a process for preparing butadiene. The process involves nonoxidatively catalytically dehydrogenating butane to obtain a product gas stream containing butane, 1-butene, 2-butene, butadiene, hydrogen and secondary constituents. The 1-butene and 2-butene of the product gas stream is then oxidatively dehydrogenated to give a second gas stream containing butane,2-butene, butadiene, hydrogen, steam and secondary constituents. Next, the butane,2-butene and butadiene are separated from the second gas stream and the butane and 2-butene are then separated from the butadiene product. The butane and 2-butene are then recycled into the nonoxidative catalytic dehydrogenating zone.

A process for the recovery of 3-aminomethyl-3,5,5-trimethylcyclohexylamine (isophoronediamine, IPDA) comprises; (a) preparation of IPDA having a cis/trans isomer ratio of less than 73/27; (b) introduction of IPDA to the middle region of a distillation column having inserts and distillation of IPDA at 5-300 degreesC and 10-2000 mbar; (c) optionally further purification of the IPDA from (b) by distillation in at least one further column whereby the IPDA from step (b) and (c) are separated into at least 5 fractions comprising an organic fraction (1a) containing impurities having a lower b. pt. than trans-IPDA, an aqueous fraction (1b) containing impurities having a lower b. pt. than trans-IPDA, a fraction (2) containing impurities having a higher b. pt. than cis-IPDA, an IPDA fraction (3) having a cis/trans ratio of greater than 73/27 and an IPDA fraction (4) having a cis/trans ratio of less than 66/34.

    Abstract: Sudstituted the abstract with a new abstract as follows: The invention relates to a continuous process for separation a mixture of hydrocarbons which has beenobtained by extractive distillation of C 4 fraction useing a selective solvent and the hydrocarbons from the fraction C 4 which are more readily soluble in the selective solvent than are the butanes and the butenes. The mixture is fed into a first distillation column in which it is separated into a steam which is taken off at the top and comprises 1,3-butadiene, propyne, possibly further low boilers and possibly water and a bottom stream comprising 1,3-butadiene, 1,2-butadiene, acetylenes and possibly further high boilers, with the proportion of 1,3-butadiene in the bottom stream from the distillatin column being regulated in such a way that it is at least sufficiently high to dilute the acetylenes to outside the range in which there is a risk of spontaneous decomposition. The stream taken off from the top of the first distillation column is fed to a second distillation column and is separated into a steam which is taken off at the top and comprises propyne, possibly further low boilers and possibly water and a bottom stream comprising pure 1,3-butadiene in the second distillation column.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a continuous method for separating a C4 cut (C4) by means of extractive distillation using a selective solvent (LM) in an extractive distillation column (EDK). A separating wall (TW), forming a firs t partial region (A), a second partial region (B) and a lower common column region (C), is arranged in the longitudinal direction of the extractive distillation column (EDK). According to said method, a head flow (C4H10) comprising butane is separated from the first partial region (A), a head flo w (C4H8) comprising butene is separated from the second partial region (B), an d a flow (C4H6) comprising the hydrocarbons from the C4 cut is separated from the lower common column region (C), said hydrocarbons dissolving more easily in the selective solvent (LM) than the butane and the butene.
