    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a skin drug for external use, containing a specific lipid derivative and surfactant and capable of enhancing water holding power of a keratinous layer and improving roughening of the skin. CONSTITUTION:A medicinal skin drug for external use or cosmetic (e.g. cream, milky lotion, toilet water, lipstick, foundation or hairdressing) containing a lipid derivative expressed by formula I [R1 is 10-26C alkyl; R2 is 9-25C alkyl; X and Y are H or phosphoric acid ester group expressed by formula II (R3-R5 are H, 1-6C alkyl or aralkyl), provided that X and Y are not H at the same time]. The amount of the blended compound expressed by formula I is preferably 0.1-20wt.% based on the total composition in the case of an emulsion type agent and 5-25wt.% in the case of an oily agent containing a liquid hydrocarbon as a base. The surfactant has action on enhancement of effects and a glyceryl ether expressed by formula III [R6 is 8-24C alkyl, especially preferably a group expressed by formula IV (p is 4-10; q is 5-11)] is preferred. The amount thereof blended is 0.1-5wt.% based on the total composition.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:An endermic absorption promote extremely increasing endermic absorption in external preparation, containing a specific carboxylic acid amide as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION:An endermic absorption promote containing a carboxylic acid amide (e.g. 2-ethyloctanamide) shown by the formula (R1-R3 are H, 1-20C straight chain, branched chain alkyl and at least one of R1-R3 is >=9C alkyl and when R1 is straight alkyl, R2 and R3 are not H at the same time). As administration method of drug, an external preparation having no side effects on gastriointestinal disorder is preferable, but when a base used for ordinary external preparation is used alone, sufficiently endermic absorption of medicinal components blended is hardly carried out. As a method controlling permeability of drug through a corneum and raising endermic absorption of drug, the carboxylic acid amide extremely raises the effects. The amount of the absorption promote added is 0.01-5wt% based on the total amount of external preparation when it is used as an absorption promotion auxiliary and >=10wt% as a base.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the highly useful titled compound in high yield without any side reaction, by reacting a glycidyl ether derivative as a raw material with benzylalcohol in the presence of a base and further subjecting the reaction product to debenzylation and hydrogenolysis reaction. CONSTITUTION:A glycidyl ether derivative expressed by formula I (R represents 1-26C straight-chain or branched alkyl or aryl; R represents 1-8C straight- chain or branched alkyl, aryl or benzyl) is used as a raw material and reacted with benzylalcohol in the presence of a base such as alkali metal, tertiary amines, etc. Then the obtained product is subjected to decomposition hydrogenolysis reaction in the presence of a metal catalyst to obtain a compound expressed by formula II (R represents H, 1-8C alkyl, etc.). In the above- mentioned reaction, 2-10mol benzylalcohol and 0.01-0.25mol base are preferably used based on 1mol compound expressed by formula I, and 0.001-5wt% metal catalyst based on the intermediate product is preferably used.
