    Abstract: PURPOSE: An organic electroluminescent device, a substrate for the organic electroluminescent device and method of fabricating the same are provided to protect the deterioration of an organic electroluminescent layer by protecting the dispersion of calcium included in a cathode electrode. CONSTITUTION: A first electrode(253) is formed on a substrate. A buffer pattern(257) is formed on a first electrode. A barrier rip(260) is formed on the buffer pattern. A patterned spacer(263) is formed on the buffer pattern. An organic light-emitting layer(265) is formed on the first electrode. A second electrode(270) is formed on the organic light-emitting layer. A calcium layer is formed on the second electrode excluding a region corresponding to the patterned spacer. The calcium layer is transformed to a calcium oxide layer. A getter layer is formed on the calcium oxide layer excluding a region corresponding to the patterned spacer.
