Abstract: PURPOSE: A formation method of an information storage pattern is provided to improve the electrical property of a phase variation memory device by uniformly maintaining the resistance value of a memory cell. CONSTITUTION: A semiconductor substrate(10) comprises an active layer(20). An interlayer insulating layer(30) is formed on the semiconductor substrate. The interlayer insulating layer comprises an opening(35) which exposes a transistor or a diode. A bottom electrode(40) is formed in the opening of the interlayer insulating layer. Abstract: A water softener is provided to shorten an interval between electrode units by a squeeze unit to help desorption of ion absorbed in the electrode unit, thereby relatively increasing liquid capacity which can be treated within unit time. Hard water is flowed into a chamber(10) and softened water is discharged. Electrode units(20,30) are stacked in the chamber by a predetermined interval. Positive and negative voltages are alternately applied to the electrode unit. Ion of hard water is absorbed in the electrode unit during water softening operation and desorbed during regenerating operation. A squeeze unit shortens an interval between electrode units during the regenerating operation.
