Abstract: A solid dosage form contains a copolymer of an N-vinyl-lactam, methyl methacrylate, an ester or acid derivative monomer and optionally an acid monomer, as polymeric binder. A solid dosage form comprises least one polymeric binder, at least one active agent (A) and optionally conventional additives, where the binder is a copolymer of: (a) at least one N-vinyl-lactam of formula (I) (15-83 wt. %); (b) methyl methacrylate (15-83 wt. %); (c) at least one monomer (2-70 wt. %) selected from vinyl esters of 1-22C aliphatic carboxylic acids, esters of 3-8C alpha , beta -ethylenically unsaturated mono- or dicarboxylic acids with 1-8C alkanols, 1-4C diols or di-(1-4C alkyl)-amino-(1-4C) alkanols and amides, nitriles or cyclic anhydrides of these acids; and (d) at least one alpha , beta -ethylenically unsaturated acid (0-9.9 wt. %) selected from 3-8C alpha , beta -ethylenically unsaturated mono- or dicarboxylic acids, their non-cyclic anhydrides, hemi-esters of the dicarboxylic acids and alpha , beta -ethylenically unsaturated sulfonic acids (including salts or quaternized derivatives). n = 1-3. An Independent claim is included for the preparation of the dosage form, by mixing the components (directly or after preliminary melting) and shaping the obtained plastic mixture into the required dosage form.

Abstract: The present invention relates to self-emulsifying formulations based on an active ingredient component and a formulation base with a lipid component and with a binder component and to the use of this formulation as dosage form in the life science sector. The invention also describes a process for producing self-emulsifying formulations by mixing the formulation components to form a plastic mixture and, where appropriate, to manufacture the formulations as dosage form advantageously by use of melt extrusion. The formulations spontaneously form emulsions in water or aqueous media.
