Abstract: Métodos y aparatos de comunicaciones inalámbricas de quinta generación, que incluyen un método ejemplificativo, en un dispositivo inalámbrico, que a su vez incluye recibir una señal de enlace descendente que comprende un índice de configuraciones de acceso de enlace ascendente y lo usa para identificar una configuración de acceso de enlace ascendente entre una pluralidad predeterminada de configuraciones de acceso de enlace ascendente, y efectuar la transmisión a la red de comunicaciones inalámbricas de acuerdo con la configuración de acceso de enlace ascendente identificada. El método ejemplificativo además incluye, en el mismo dispositivo inalámbrico, recibir en una primera subtrama de enlace descendente, una primera transmisión de multiplexación por división de frecuencia ortogonal (OFDM) con formato acorde con una primera numerología y recibir, en una segunda subtrama de enlace descendente, una segunda transmisión OFDM con formato acorde con una segunda numerología, que difiere de la primera, donde la primera numerología tiene un primer espaciado de subportadoras y la segunda numerología tiene un segundo espaciado de subportadoras, y el primer espaciado difiere del segundo. También se divulgan variantes de este método, correspondientes aparatos y correspondientes métodos y aparatos del lado de la red.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus in a fifth-generation wireless communications, including an example method, in a wireless device, that includes receiving a downlink signal comprising an uplink access configuration index, using the uplink access configuration index to identify an uplink access configuration from among a predetermined plurality of uplink access configurations, and transmitting to the wireless communications network according to the identified uplink access configuration. The example method further includes, in the same wireless device, receiving, in a first downlink subframe, a first Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing (OFDM) transmission formatted according to a first numerology and receiving, in a second downlink subframe, a second OFDM transmission formatted according to a second numerology, the second numerology differing from the first numerology, where the first numerology has a first subcarrier spacing and the second numerology has a second subcarrier spacing, the first subcarrier spacing differing from the second subcarrier spacing. Variants of this method, corresponding apparatuses, and corresponding network-side methods and apparatuses are also disclosed.

Abstract: Methods performed by a wireless device, such as a user equipment, operating in a dormant mode comprise performing a measurement on each of a plurality of resources from a predetermined set of resources or demodulating and decoding information from each of a plurality of resources from a predetermined set of resources, such as a set of beams. The methods further include evaluating the measurement or the demodulated and decoded information for each of the plurality of resources against a predetermined criterion, and then discontinuing the performing and evaluating of measurements, or discontinuing the demodulating and decoding and evaluation of information, in response to determining that the predetermined criterion is met, such that one or more resources in the predetermined set of resources are neither measured nor demodulated and decoded. The methods further comprise deactivating receiver circuitry, further in response to determining that the predetermined criterion is met. The method further comprises receiving, in a first downlink subframe, a first Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing transmission formatted according to a first numerology and receiving, in a second downlink subframe, a second OFDM transmission formatted according to a second numerology, the second numerology differing from the first numerology.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus in a fifth-generation wireless communications, including an example method, in a wireless device, that includes receiving a downlink signal comprising an uplink access configuration index, using the uplink access configuration index to identify an uplink access configuration from among a predetermined plurality of uplink access configurations, and transmitting to the wireless communications network according to the identified uplink access configuration. The example method further includes, in the same wireless device, receiving, in a first downlink subframe, a first Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing (OFDM) transmission formatted according to a first numerology and receiving, in a second downlink subframe, a second OFDM transmission formatted according to a second numerology, the second numerology differing from the first numerology, where the first numerology has a first subcarrier spacing and the second numerology has a second subcarrier spacing, the first subcarrier spacing differing from the second subcarrier spacing. Variants of this method, corresponding apparatuses, and corresponding network-side methods and apparatuses are also disclosed.

Abstract: A radio access network node and method of allocating cell downlink power to a set of channels (e.g., DPCH channels) and to a high-speed shared channel such as a high-speed downlink shared channel (HS-DSCH) or a high-speed shared control channel (HS_SCCH). After allocating part of the cell downlink power to the set of channels, the node allocates only a portion of the remainder of the cell downlink power to the high-speed shared channel. The node reserves a power margin for possible use during a future timeslot of a channel of the set.
