    Abstract: PURPOSE: An automatic hemming apparatus for a wheel arch of a vehicle is provided to correct the deviation of radius of curvature during hemming by moving a hemming tool support up and down along an LM guide. CONSTITUTION: An automatic hemming apparatus for a wheel arch of a vehicle comprises a hemming tool(10), a hemming bed(22), a support, and a rotary handle(18). The hemming tool has a plurality of hemming rollers on the peripheral part of a rotary block(16) and implements stepwise hemming on a flange of a wheel arch panel using the hemming rollers that are rotated along the flange by a guide groove of the hemming bed. The support rotates the hemming tool along the guide groove by a hemming handle(29). The rotary handle is connected via a rotary shaft to the hemming roller, pulls the hemming roller to generate hemming pressure, and rotates the hemming roller to be selectively changed. The support is installed in a support frame(31) and moved up and down by an LM guide to correct the deviation of radius of curvature of the flange during hemming.
