Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for controlling being commonly used in a vehicle while automatically recognizing an alternator with a multiple specification is provided to reduce the data variation of an ECU(Electronic Control Unit) by adding an auto-identification logic. CONSTITUTION: An engine ignition key is turned on. The different specifications of the feedback PWM frequency signal in the alternator products of two companies are stored in the ECU. The feedback PWM frequency signal of the alternator, which is mounted on a vehicle, is identified in the ECU. One of the frequency specifications, which are previously input into the ECU, is determined to be matched. The determined power control logic of a corresponding product is operated through the ECU.

Abstract: PURPOSE: Logic for estimating an air flow of a diesel engine is provided to remove damages to an air flow sensor by directly measuring the air flow sucked from the outside. CONSTITUTION: Logic(10) for estimating an air flow of a diesel engine comprises an EGR(Exhaust Gas Recirculation) opening sensor(14), exhaust pressure and intake pressure sensors, an EGR flow calculation sensor(15), and an intake air flow calculation unit(16). The EGR opening sensor measures an opening angle of an EGR valve inserted between an intake pipe and an exhaust pipe. The exhaust pressure sensor detects the pressure of air discharged from a cylinder. The intake pressure sensor is coupled to a rear side of an intercooler in the intake pipe of the cylinder. The intake pressure sensor measures the pressure of compressed air, which is frozen through the intercooler. The EGR flow calculation sensor calculates an EGR flow supplied to the intake pipe of the cylinder through an opening angle of the EGR valve and pressure differences between both ends of the EGR valve. The intake air flow calculation unit calculates amount of intake air by subtracting the EGR flow from total amount of the air flowing into the cylinder.
