    Abstract: A seat belt buckle for a vehicle is provided to achieve improved user convenience and reduce parts count by generating moment during extraction of a tongue such that a user applies small forces for extracting the tongue. A seat belt buckle for a vehicle includes a buckle body(10), a trigger(20), a locking wheel unit(35), and a wheel support member. The buckle body has a top surface with a port for entry/exit of a tongue, and one surface with a trigger mounting portion(15). The trigger is hinge-coupled beneath the trigger mounting portion, and rotates by a predetermined angle when the tongue is extracted from the buckle body. The locking wheel unit includes a locking wheel(33) and a wheel guide(34). The locking wheel is formed integrally with the trigger such that the locking wheel elastically gets caught at a locking hole formed at the tongue when the tongue is retracted into the buckle body. The wheel guide is arranged to guide movement of the locking wheel along a slot formed on the trigger mounting portion when tongue is retracted or extracted. The wheel support member is elastically supported by a support spring, and descends and compresses the spring such that the locking wheel gets caught at the locking hole when the tongue is retracted, and ascends by the restoring force of the spring and supports the locking wheel when the tongue is extracted.
