Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pale blue gloss pigment having high perspiration resistance useful as a coating material especially a coloring coating material, etc., of a lacquer for an automobile by reacting a silicate platelet coated with reduced titania with a specific silane. SOLUTION: This pale blue gloss pigment is produced by using a silicate platelet coated with reduced titania as a base and reacting the silicate platelet with a silane of the formula Ra SiXb [R is a 1-10C alkyl substituted by glycidoxy, amino, etc., at μ-position; X is a 1-4C alkoxy; (a) is 1 or 2; (b) is 2 or 3 with the proviso that (a)+(b)=4] (preferably, 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane, etc.) by heating in a reductive atmosphere. The reaction is preferably per-formed by fluidizing the reduced platelets in a fluidizing reaction vessel by nitrogen, heating to 150-300 deg.C and further introducing the gasified silane and water vapor to the vessel. Moreover, muscovite flakes obtained by wet milling is preferably used as the silicate platelet. The reduction of the silicate platelet coated by the titania is preferably performed by ammonia gas.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing the quaterrylene-3,4:13,14-tetracarboxy diimides of general formula (I), wherein R, R' independently represent hydrogen or optionally substituted C 1 -C 30 alkyl, C 3 -C 8 cycloalkyl or aryl or hetaryl. The inventive method is characterized by reacting the perylene-3,4-dicarboximide of the general formula (IIa) in the presence of a base resistant, high-boiling, organic solvent and an alkali-containing or alkaline earth-containing base with the perylene-3,4-dicarboximide of the general formula (IIb), wherein X represents hydrogen, bromine or chlorine.
Abstract:
A method for producing low-dust stabiliser systems for thermal stabilisation of PVC, whereby said stabiliser systems consist of the following components: (a1) stabilisers, (a2) lubricating agents, and (a3) optionally other additives. The invention is characterised in that the components a1, a2 and optionally a3 are homogeneously mixed by a suitable device (V1) and are then pressed into granulates or cast by means of a suitable device (V2).
Abstract:
Production of alkaline earth metal salts of aliphatic beta -keto compounds (I) comprises: (a) adding (I) to a powdered alkaline earth metal hydroxide, withdrawing a vapor stream comprising water and (I), and adding fresh and/or recycled (I) continuously or portionwise until no more water is formed; and (b) drying the reaction mixture.
