    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lamp in which the deformation of the front end edge of a guide part caused by thermal expansion is reduced. SOLUTION: In order to guide suspension arms to housing places 27 by sliding the arms, at least two guide parts 28 individually formed for each suspension arm by using a polymeric material with a small coefficient of friction, and a guide supporting member 71 formed by using a material with a coefficient of thermal expansion smaller than that of the polymeric material of the guide parts 28 to support each guide part 28 in a prescribed position, are provided. The guide supporting member 71 has recessed parts 72 engaging with each guide part 28 in the position which is in the area contacting each guide part 28, does not contact a recording disk and the distance to the front end 29 of each guide part 28 is shortest. Each guide part 28 has a projecting part to support the guide parts 28 in the position suitable for guiding the suspension arms by engaging with the recessed parts 72.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To eliminate the damage of a magnetic head, magnetic disk and to reduce in thickness of a magnetic disk apparatus by specifying the deflection of a suspension due to the impact. CONSTITUTION: If HDD receives an impact in the state that a magnetic disk 22 is retracted in a shipping zone, a suspension 34 having a magnetic head 36 at the free end is deflected. When the case that the lowermost suspension 34 is deflected is observed, the free end of the suspension 34 is brought into contact with a pin protrusion 50 to prevent the further displacement toward a base 12. The suspension 34 further deflected in this state is not deflected in primary mode (cantilever support mode), but deflected in a secondary mode of both ends support (both ends support mode), and the maximum displacement of the suspension 34 occurs at the intermediate part of the suspension 34. The displacing intermediate part is intruded into the groove 48, and the contact with the base 12 of the intermediate part of the suspension 34 is prevented by the grove 48.

The mounting section 221 and the arm holding section 222 are integrated by molding these sections before and behind each other.

The movable part 44 of the cable 42 is supported by the carriage, followed up, and a non-movable part 46 is bent to enclose a reinforcing plate 50, and mounted on the base via the late 50. The plate 50 reinforces to connect a carriage connector 84 to the card 40 on the lower surface 60, and to hold the attitude to hold the lateral attitude of the part 44 on the thick surface 64. Thus, the cable 11 is the supporting material of the storage device 2 and, at same time, plays the roll of the shock absorbing material for absorbing a shock added to the storage device 2.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an integrally molded ramp for withdrawing a suspension arm of the information recording and reproducing device. SOLUTION: The ramp 200 is equipped with sliding parts 220 and 250 formed with guide surfaces 221, 222, 223, 224 and 225 and also a withdrawing surface 226 flat. Since boundaries among the individual guide surfaces and the withdrawing surface are formed parallel to a reference line, even when the withdrawing surface 226 is formed in a depressed shape, mold casting can be performed by drawing a mold in the direction of the reference line. A part formed by the same casting mold as the sliding part 220 and the sliding part 250 out of a supporting part 210 is formed not to be an obstable to drawing the mold in the direction of the reference line. The integrally molded ramp 200 has high manufacturing accuracy, and is excellent in accurate demarcation of a loading/ unloading position of the suspension arm.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the controlling of a head arm by reducing shavings of ramps in a head holding mechanism to reduce changes of friction factors of the ramps and to make the speed of the head arm at the time of loading and unloading of a head constant. SOLUTION: In ramps 62 of a ramp block 6, the dried lubrication coating film consisting essentially of polytetrafluorethylene is formed on a surface areas 62g including a contact part 62f with a suspension assembly constituting a head arm. Moreover, the film is also formed on a contact part with the ramps 62 in the tab of the suspension assembly. However, the contact part of the tab slides on the contact part 62f of the ramps at the time of loading and unloading of the head, since the resin coating film is formed on the contact part between the ramps 62 and the tab, the shavings of ramps 62 are reduced.
