SOLUTION: An automatic open unit sliding on a timing belt 26 provided in a frame 25 for supporting a draw-out door 22 comprises a slide pin 28 for pushing out a draw-out case 22, a roller 29 operating on the timing belt 26, and means 30 for driving the slide pin 28 and the roller 29. According to the structure, the draw-out door can be opened efficiently and the automatic open unit can be set for a draw-out door at any position of a refrigerator.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To permit the change of the capacity of a case in accordance with a receiving amount so as to be capable of supplying the optimum amount of cold air into a low temperature chamber and improve cooling efficiency by a method wherein an internal case, equipped with springs, is provided below the low temperature chamber so that the inside volume can be changed. CONSTITUTION:In the main body 22 of a refrigerator, equipped with a low temperature chamber 24 and a vegetable chamber 25 independently below a partitioning wall 23, an inner case 29 is provided elevatably in an outer case 28, constituting a low temperature chamber 24, through springs 30, compressed in accordance with the receiving amount of food in the inner case 29. In this case, the capacity of the inner case 29 can be changed by the up-and-down movement of the inner case 29 by the contraction of springs 30 in accordance with the receiving amount of food. According to this method, reduced amount of cold air is enough when the receiving amount is reduced whereby a cooling efficiency can be improved. On the other hand, the amount of cold air in the low temperature chamber 24 is controlled by opening and/or closing a damper device 11 based on the output of a temperature detector 27 detecting the temperature of the low temperature chamber 24.

On the basis of an electric output of the atmosphere sensor 24 a storage state of the contained vegetable can be checked without opening a door 14 with the aid of display means 30 and /or sound informing means 31 for displaying external appearances of vegetables and fruits, and hence it can be stored in the interior of the vegetable chamber 12b without corrosion thereof.
