    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator with an ion generating device and an electrode part in a refrigerator compartment and an ion generating member in a vegetable compartment, and with the excellent layout efficiency and ion release efficiency, and the high ozone odor control efficiency. SOLUTION: The ion generating device 142 is mounted at an upper part of the refrigerator compartment and the ion generating member 140 is set inside the vegetable compartment 122 so that ions are efficiently circulated together with cold air upward/downward in the refrigerator compartment 120 so that the odor of foods can be prevented. Moreover, only plus/minus ions are generated inside the vegetable compartment 122 without generating ozone so that the gas to accelerate the deterioration of vegetables can be removed.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an anti-bacterial effect in air and in an entire inner side of a refrigerator by a method wherein an anti-bacterial means containing volatile anti-bacterial substances is installed within a refrigerator chamber and the anti-bacterial means is arranged at an upper part in the refrigerator chamber when a vapor specific weight of the anti-bacterial substance is high and in turn the anti-bacterial means is arranged at a lower part in the refrigerator chamber when a vapor specific weight of the anti-bacterial substances is low. SOLUTION: An anti-bacterial means 16 placed at an upper part of a wall surface of a cold air discharging duct 11 is comprised of anti-bacterial material having anti-bacterial substance with 'wasabi' extract immersed into oil-based gel, for example, and a resin case molded into a cylindrical shape for filling anti-bacterial material, for example, and further the inner wall of the resin case is provided with some fine holes. Anti-bacterial substances gasified into gas form from the anti-bacterial material having a high vapor specific weight of the volatile anti-bacterial substances are dispersed through the fine holes in the resin case and then flowed into a refrigerator chamber 5 together with cold air through a cold air discharging port of a cold air discharging duct 11. In addition, in the case that a vapor specific weight of volatile anti-bacterial substances of the anti-bacterial material is low, a mounting position of the anti-bacterial means 16 is placed at the lower part of the cold air duct 11.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve antibacterial effect to obtain a more sanitary refrigerator by providing, in a refrigerator, the interior of which is divided into a plurality of storage compartments through which cold air is forcibly circulated, a deodorizing material, the surface of which is impregnated with antibacterial material, in the refrigerator. SOLUTION: In this refrigerator, the interior of which is divided into a plurality of storage compartments through which cold air is forcibly circulated, a deodorizing material, the surface of which is impregnated with an antibacterial material 11, is set in the refrigerator. And a deodorizing material, to which 5wt.% of zinc oxide is added, is set in the refrigerator. If a silver-based antibacterial material 11, for example, is formed on the surface of a base material 10 as a deodorizer and yellow Staphylococcus is applied onto each surface of the deodorizer, growth number after 24 hours of culture at 35 deg.C becomes 10 or less. As a result, antibacterial effect of the deodorizer itself can be improved and a more sanitary refrigerator can be obtained.

SOLUTION: Freshness deterioration atmosphere within a vegetable chamber 12 is monitored without depending only on the gas components from the stored foods themselves, and the environment is cleaned in advance to keep freshness before the freshness of the vegetables, fruits, etc., is lowered, by providing this refrigerator with an atmosphere sensor 24 which senses the changes in the concentration of the composite gas components which are mainly composed of reducing gases such as ethylene, alcohol, aldehyde, etc., including the gas components generated from the stored and the gas components flowing in from the vegetable chamber 11, and further, equipping it with a control means 30, which removes the composite gas to deteriorate the freshness of the stores from the inside the vegetable chamber 12 by driving a composite gas removing means 32, based on the electric output of the atmosphere sensor 24.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent falling of a deodorizing catalyst including falling of a powder and improve antibacterial function of the deodorizing catalyst itself by, in a low temperature activated deodorizing catalyst which oxidizes and decomposes odorous components in air in the presence of oxygen, applying an oxidizing agent, which oxidizes and decomposes odorous components added to a catalyst base material. SOLUTION: A low temperature activated deodorizing catalyst 7 has deodorizing performance and such function as to enhance surface strength of catalyst and vibration separation strength, and is composed of a catalyst base material 8 and a metal oxide applied to the material 8. And oxidizing agents 9 are scattered over the material 8 and glass fibers are kneaded into the material 8. Further, 5wt.% of copper is added to the catalyst 7 to oxidize and decompose odorous components. As a result, odorous components are prevented from penetrating into a low temperature activated catalyst but captured at the surface of the catalyst and decomposed. Therefor, deodorizing performance of the catalyst can be maintained and surface strength and vibration separation strength of the catalyst can be enhanced.

Then, an antibacterial constituent particle 11 is impregnated with a gel-shaped substance 2. Also, the amount of sustained release of the antibacterial constituent is increased against the temperature increase in a container due to the opening/closing of the door by the sustained release film made of a shape memory resin due to temperature, thus dispersing the antibacterial constituent into the refrigerator and constantly maintaining the antibacterial constituent concentration in the container, killing germs floating in air and germs being adhered to the surface of food, and hence achieving a high antibacterial effect.

SOLUTION: When a quenching switch 37 is not turned on, a temperature determination means 36 in a freezer compartment determines whether or not the temperature in the freezer compartment 18 is higher or lower to an on/off setting temperature. When the freezer compartment temperature determination means 36 determines that the temperature in the freezer compartment is lower than the off setting temperature, the operation of a compressor 22 is halted with a compressor control means 40. When the compressor is halted, an air circulating fan 29 is operated by an air circulating fan control means 41. On one hand when the quenching switch 37 is turned on, the air circulating fan 29 is operated in continuous mode with the air circulating fan control means 41 irrespective of the operating state of the compressor 22. Therefore, this construction makes it possible to upgrade the application effect of the air circulating duct 28 and the air circulating fan 29.
