Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an amplifier device having a gain switching and a radio- frequency receiver integrating thereinto, such an amplifier device where its output dynamic range is optimized in its 'low-gain' mode, while maintaining high gain in its 'high-gain' mode. SOLUTION: The amplifier device with a gain switching comprises an amplification means (Q1); a configurable load circuit (M1, M2) including an inductive element (L2) and capable of exhibiting two different configurations, having two different impedance values respectively; and a controllable switching means (Q2, Q3) connected between the amplification means and the load circuit, in order to select one or other of the two configurations of the load circuit. The load circuit includes two insulated-gate field-effect transistors (M1, M2), connected in series and operating in a triode mode and includes the inductive element, connected in parallel with the pair of load transistors between a power- supply terminal and the switching means.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new radio frequency signal receiving head which is assigned to a dual band system by using only a signal low noise amplifier. SOLUTION: This amplifier circuit includes at least one 1st input amplifier T1, at least one 2nd amplifier T3 cascaded with the 1st amplifier and at least one invalid impedance circuit which includes two impedances Z1 and Z2 respectively showing a maximum value to 1st and 2nd frequencies f1 and f2 to form a dual band amplifier circuit and is serially attached to the 2nd amplifier. The impedances Z1 and Z2 are serially connected and made to be a size so as to respectively show the maximum value and high acutance by one of the two operation frequencies f1 and f2.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadband amplifier for a mobile telephone adaptable to various standards. SOLUTION: The amplifier according to this invention includes an input amplifier stage, an output amplifier stage cascaded to the input amplifier stage and a load stage connected to the output stage. In particular, the load stage is provided with plural circuits each of which includes a capacitive component and inductive component each having a Q larger than 10 and a different resonance frequency. All of gain curves respectively associated with all circuits have the same maximum gain value, and gain curves associated with two circuits with an adjacent resonance frequency overlaps within 3 dB below a threshold lower than the maximum gain value. This produces an amplifier which is operable at all frequencies from the lowest to the highest resonance frequency while the ratio of the output noise to the input noise is kept very low.

Abstract:
A head of transmission-reception of a high-frequency signal made in the form of an integrated circuit including a transmit amplifier and a receive amplifier. The transmit terminal of the transmit amplifier and the receive terminal of the receive amplifier are interconnected in a common transmit/receive terminal. The head includes means for selecting one of the amplifiers and means for placing the other amplifier in a high impedance state, as seen from the transmit/receive terminal.
