    Abstract: A tray for holding a media roll being fed to a paper path of a copier/printer including a plurality of wall defining a chamber (105), the chamber including: an open portion thereof for receiving the print media roll (14C); a cover (110) for opening and closing the open portion of the chamber, a first seal (112) associated with the chamber and cover, for preventing air from exiting or entering when the cover is closed, a sheet slot defined in one of the plurality of walls, for feeding print media therethrough to the paper path of the copier/printer; and a second seal, associated with the sheet slot, for preventing air from exiting or entering the chamber as roll media is fed.

    Abstract: Aspects of the invention can include an internal heating system for an image transfer drum that can include a box having a plurality of sides, an open side facing the drum (14) and a heater element (100,200,400,500). The box can have small gaps between it and the internal drum surface to maximize thermal efficiency of the internal heating system. The heater element can include first and second support structures (201,202) that are disposed on a central support structure, the first support structure having an end connector (208) at one side away from the second support structure. Further, a first coil (203b) can be formed around the first support structure, and a second coil (203a) can be formed around the second support structure and one end of the second coil can be coupled by an electrical line that extends within the central support structure through the second support structure towards the end connector. The heater element can alternatively include a support structure, an electrical wire wound in a coil around the support structure and electrical terminals extending away from the support structure connected to the coil by a fastener (507). The heater system can also include at least two circuits, two channels and a relay switch, with the relay switch (606) operating to switch the circuits into a series or parallel electrical configuration.

    Abstract: A maintenance assembly (129) for cleaning a plurality of printheads (125,126) in a printing machine comprises two or more cleaning members (150), each of the cleaning members (150) sized and positioned to clean at least one but less than all of the plurality of printheads (125,126) when in a cleaning position. A drive mechanism (174) associated with each of the two or more cleaning members (150) is configured to selectively move an associated cleaning member to and from the cleaning position and a retracted position. The cleaning members (150) are supported on a frame with a mechanism (130) provided for translating the frame into position juxtaposed with the plurality of printheads and a further mechanism to swipe the cleaning members across the printheads. The maintenance assembly (129) is operable to clean only selected printheads in a single operation.

El elemento calentador puede incluir, de manera alternativa, una estructura de soporte, un alambre electrico enrollado con una bobina alrededor de la estructura de soporte y terminales electricas que se extiendan lejos de la estructura de soporte conectadas a la bobina por medio de un sujetador.
