Abstract:
A touch screen system includes a touch panel to input image signals, a touch controller to drive the touch panel, an extension between the touch panel and the touch controller, and an anisotropic conductive film electrically interconnecting the extension to the touch controller.
Abstract:
A magnetic component assembly includes a circuit board having at least one layer. A first winding is provided on at least one surface of a layer of the circuit board and a further winding is provided on the same or a different surface of the circuit board. A first magnetic core is associated with the first winding to define a first magnetic component and a further magnetic core is associated with the further winding to define a further magnetic component. There is thereby provided an assembly of two or more magnetic components integrated in a single circuit board providing an efficient space saving configuration. A particular application relates to the provision of integrated magnetic components for power supplies.
Abstract:
In a printed circuit board for a liquid crystal display using Tape Automated Bonding (TAB) for making interconnections, flow of molten solder to adjacent input electrodes on the TAB is prevented as well as short-circuiting between electrodes and wire breakage by using an improved TAB structure that avoids applying a concentration of shearing stress to the input electrodes and retards short-circuiting solder flow. This is accomplished by making the width of the slit for the input electrodes uneven. The width of the slit where each of the electrodes crosses over the slit is narrower than elsewhere.
Abstract:
In an electrical wiring system, a typical process for suppressing noise due to electric current consists in preparing a pair of flat circuit units comprising respectively an insulation layer and at least one circuit conductor therein or thereon which undulates to form wave-like patterns and in superposing fixedly said conductor of the first unit with that of the second unit in such that at least one insulation layer is interposed between the superposed conductors and whereby peaks of the second unit conductor face troughs of the first unit conductor; according to the invention, fixing is performed by means enabling to interweave said peaks with said troughs. One such means consists in providing the first flat circuit unit with trough-side slits and the second with peak-side slits and in inserting the tongues formed by the trough-side slits in the peak-side slits. Another such means consists in forming a pair of flat circuit units and corresponding circuit conductors into an undulation and in interweaving the pair in alternate upside and downside fashion.
Abstract:
An integral electrical interconnection is made between two circuit carrying substrates (100 and 110). The first circuit carrying substrate (100) contains one or more protrusions (102) on the peripheral edge of the substrate (100) which couples to a series of one or more apertures (104) on the peripheral edge of a second circuit carrying substrate (110). Both the tabs and the apertures are covered with conductive materials (202 and 210) also connected to the circuit.
Abstract:
An electrical interface device for washing and drying machines and the like, has at least one rigid planar element, to which there are firmly applied one or more flexible printed circuits, electrically connected to one another and to the electromechanical and/or electronic programming component of the machine. The edges of the rigid planar element and of the flexible printed circuits are provided with alternating slots and teeth. To the teeth there are applied the terminals of the electrical paths of the circuits, forming in this manner zones adapted for the insertion of electrical connectors of low and high power.
Abstract:
A printed circuit board including a dielectric material having first and second major surfaces, a predetermined number of electrical conductors attached to the major surfaces, a plurality of slots in the board, the slots beginning at the free edge of the board and continuing inwardly for a predetermined length, a portion of the electrical conductors lying parallel and adjacent to a portion of the longitudinal axis of the slots on both of the major surfaces, and a "U" shaped current carrying connector inserted into one of the slots the terminal free edges thereof in mechanical engagement with a preselected conductor of the first surface and a preselected conductor of the second surface forming an electrical path there between.
