The inductor includes at least one wire with both terminals clamped by the clamping parts, and the wire is electrically connected to the circuit board module through the connecting parts.
Abstract:
A thermal management system/method allowing efficient electrical/thermal attachment of heat sourcing PCBs to heat sinking PCBs using reflow/wave/hand soldering is disclosed. The disclosed system/method may incorporate a combination of support pins, spacer pads, and/or contact paste that mechanically attaches a heat sourcing PCB (and its associated components) to a heat sinking PCB such that thermal conductivity between the two PCBs can be optimized while simultaneously allowing controlled electrical conductivity between the two PCBs. Controlled electrical isolation between the two PCBs is provided for using spacer pads that may also be thermally conductive. Contact paste incorporated in some embodiments permits enhanced conductivity paths between the heat sourcing PCB, a thermally conductive plate mounted over the heat sourcing PCB, and the heat sinking PCB. The use of self-centering support pins incorporating out-gassing vents in some embodiments allows reflow/wave/hand soldering as desired.

A press-fit cable is described herein. The press-fit cable includes a plurality of cable wires and a plurality of pins. The plurality of pins is coupled with the plurality of cable wires. Additionally, the plurality of pins is to directly mate to a circuit board without a receptacle.
Abstract:
An electrical assembly is disclosed in which two flexible printed circuits are electrically joined. This allows greater lengths of flexible printed circuits to be provided, for example for gas turbine engine harnesses. Each flexible printed circuit has a terminating region having electrically conductive through holes that are connected to respective electrical tracks of the flexible printed circuit. The terminating regions are adjacent each other in the electrical assembly, and an electrically conductive pin is passed through the aligned through holes, then permanently bonded in position, for example by welding. This results in a robust, reliable connection of two flexible printed circuits.
Abstract:
An electrical heating includes a plurality of electrical heating elements which are held by a housing and which abut heat conducting surfaces over which a medium to be heated flows. The electrical heating elements comprise contact lugs, arranged essentially at the same height, that are connected through a plate element. The plate element includes conductive paths and contact lug receptacles for the contact lugs. The plate element may include a carrier plate of non-conducting material and a stamped out metal plate that are joined together to form one unit. A method of manufacturing a plate element includes manufacturing the carrier plate by injection moulding and subjecting a metal plate to stamping operations to form area elements which are joined together by connecting ridges and in which the contact lug receptacles are located. The carrier plate and the metal plate are then joined, and the connecting ridges are then parted.
Abstract:
A rotary electric machine, in particular an electric motor, has a winding, an electronic control device, and an electrically conductive shielding plate arranged between the control device and the winding. A connection device which includes at least one coupling element for electrically connecting the control device to one or more lines and a mass element provided for connecting to an electric mass potential. In order to improve the machine with respect to electromagnetic interference, the shielding plate is electrically conductively connected to the mass element by way of a sheet metal tongue via a first electric pressure-contact.
Abstract:
A solder validation method for a printed circuit board (PCB) having a pin hole extending through the PCB, an electrically conductive trace on a surface of the PCB, and an electrically conductive pin inserted through the pin hole includes the following. An electrically non-conductive portion is provided on the surface of the PCB between the pin hole and the trace such that the non-conductive portion electrically isolates the pin from the trace. After a soldering process intended to solder the pin and the trace together, a soldered connection between the pin and the trace is detected as being absent when no electrical continuity is between the pin and the trace as a soldered connection between the pin and the trace has to be present to provide the electrical continuity due to the pin and the trace otherwise being electrically isolated from one another by the non-conductive portion.
