Abstract:
A portable system and method for analyzing biological tissue samples and detecting analytes associated with tissue oxygenation using a conformal filter. A conformal filter, which may comprise a tunable filter, is configured to filter interacted photons conforming to a spectral shape correlated with an analyte of interest. Conformal filter configurations may be selected by consulting a modified look-up table associated with an analyte. An iterative methodology may be used to calibrate a conformal design for an analyte of interest, refine a previous conformal filter design for an analyte of interest, and/or generate a new conformal filter design for an analyte of interest.

An imaging spectropolarimeter for examining targets with polarized light, the spectropolarimeter including a light source adapted to produce polarized light directed at a target. Embodiments also include a three-camera camera system defining a three-camera camera axis with a first camera unit comprising a first analyzer set at 0°, a lens and a first multi-pixel sensor, a second camera unit comprising a second analyzer set at 45°, a lens and a second multi-pixel sensor, and a third camera unit comprising a third analyzer set at 90°, a lens and a third multi-pixel sensor. At least two beam splitters adapted to direct a portion of polarized light reflected from the target to each of the first, second and third camera units. Preferred systems include a processor adapted to produce polarimetric images of the target utilizing intensity information collected by the multi-pixel sensors.

Disclosed are a scanner system and a method for recording surface geometry and surface color of an object where both surface geometry information and surface color information for a block of said image sensor pixels at least partly from one 2D image recorded by said color image sensor
Abstract:
A method for accelerating the updating of the linking elements in a simulation of a system generated according to a given hardware description language, the method comprising a phase for evaluating the eligible processes of the system, the evaluation phase comprising write or read accesses to linking elements. For each linking element, two write memory locations are provided. The evaluation phase comprises the updating of a linking element for each write or read access of the linking element. The update comprises the following steps: receive a selection word associated with the linking element; select one of the two write locations associated with the linking element depending on the value of the selection word received for the linking element; and update the current value of the linking element based on the write memory location selected.
Abstract:
An autofocus (AF) system and method is provided that maps the topography of a substrate such as a semiconductor wafer, in a manner that corrects for Goos Hanchen (GH) effect. In addition, a new and useful detector is provided that is particularly useful in an AF system and method. The detector preferably has both color and polarization filtering integrally associated with the detector, so that polarization and color filtering is provided at the detector, on a pixel by pixel basis.
Abstract:
Apparatus and methods for hyperspectral imaging analysis that assists in real and near-real time assessment of biological tissue condition, viability, and type, and monitoring the above over time. Embodiments of the invention are particularly useful in surgery, clinical procedures, tissue assessment, diagnostic procedures, health monitoring, and medical evaluations, especially in the detection and treatment of cancer.
Abstract:
A mobile microscopy device that can be integrated onto mobile imaging devices and mobile phones, and take images in different wavelengths to be used in various fields where microscopic investigation is needed, characterized in that it has a lens module placed into an imaging head and having at least one lens that carries out different magnification rates as needed, a filter module having at least one filter device to filler out reflected light being sent in different wavelengths so as to be sensed by the imaging sensors, and a led module having at least one led to send light beams in different wavelengths.
Abstract:
A hyperspectral/multispectral imager comprising a housing is provided. At least one light source is attached to the housing. An objective lens, in an optical communication path comprising originating and terminating ends, is further attached to the housing and causes light to (i) be backscattered by the tissue of a subject at the originating end and then (ii) pass through the objective lens to a beam steering element at the terminating end of the communication path inside the housing. The beam steering element has a plurality of operating modes each of which causes the element to be in optical communication with a different optical detector in a plurality of optical detectors offset from the optical communication path. Each respective detector filter in a plurality of detector filters covers a corresponding optical detector in the plurality of optical detectors thereby filtering light received by the corresponding detector from the beam steering element.
