    Abstract: An example method includes receiving a first set of data that includes spectral metrics provided by a spectral acquisition apparatus that obtains the spectral metrics based on interactions of electromagnetic radiation with a sample. The first set of data is processed to obtain a second set of data that includes the spectral metrics. One or more trained models are applied to the spectral metrics or a set of values based on the spectral metrics to obtain a result. Based on the result, either a positive particle of interest detection or a negative particle of interest detection for the particle of interest for the sample is determined. A particle of interest detection notification that indicates either the positive particle of interest detection or the negative particle of interest detection for the particle of interest for the sample may be generated and provided.

    Abstract: One or more display color characteristics of an electronic device are managed using a light detecting sensor configured to output multiple color channels in a predefined color space. The light detecting sensor in the electronic device senses ambient light and outputs measurements in visible color channels of the predefined color space to characterize the sensed ambient light. A ratio of one or more measurements of one of the visible color channels to one or more measurements of another of the visible color channels is determined. At least one light source generating at least a portion of the sensed ambient light is classified based at least in part on the determined ratio, wherein the determined ratio indicates a color temperature component of the sensed ambient light. The one or more display color characteristics of the electronic device are adjusted based at least in part on the classifying operation.

    Abstract: In an example method, one or more processing devices receive encoded image data, and cause visual content to be presented on a display device according to the encoded image data. Further, the one or more processing devices receive measurement data regarding the visual content presented on the display device, and determine, based on the measurement data, one or more first perceptual quantizer (PQ) codes corresponding to the visual content presented on the display device. Further, the one or more processing devices determine, based on the encoded image data, one or more second PQ codes, and determine one or more metrics indicative of a performance characteristic the display device based on the first PQ codes and the second PQ codes. The one or more processing devices store a data item including the one or more metrics.
