Abstract:
The invention pertains to a coating composition, a coated material formed therewith, and a method for coating the material with the coating composition.
Abstract:
In the present invention, a holding table incorporating a heater is provided, for example, in a treatment container of a planarization unit. A pressing plate having a lower surface formed flat is disposed above the holding table. The pressing plate is movable in the vertical direction and can lower to the holding table to press a resist film on the substrate from above. The pressing plate intermittently presses the upper surface of the resist film to planarize the upper surface while the heater is heating the substrate on the holding table at a predetermined temperature to dry the resist film. According to the present invention, a coating film applied on the substrate can be sufficiently planarized and dried.
Abstract:
Around a damaged area of a jacket of a flexible tube, a top coat layer whose adhesion to a polymer layer is weak is peeled off with an adhesive tape. The damaged area and its immediate surrounding area are sanded, and then wiped with ethanol for cleaning. A main agent and a hardening agent are heated and defoamed while being mixed to prepare a repair material. The repair material is applied to the damaged area and the immediate surrounding area. A heat shrink tube is opened along slits in an end portion and covers the flexible tube. The heat shrink tube is shrunk with hot air, pressing the repair material and making it flush with a surface of the jacket. The flexible tube is heated with an electric hot plate to harden the repair material. Thereafter, the heat shrink tube is peeled off from the flexible tube.
Abstract:
A method for applying a protective coating to a painted workpiece uses an application apparatus which discharges the protective coating as well as streams of compressed air for spreading the discharged protective coating on a surface of the workpiece. The protective coating is fed from an application nozzle unit to the workpiece. The protective coating is uniformly spread over the workpiece by streams of compressed air radiated thereat.
Abstract:
A bearing comprises a resin matrix filled with fluoropolymer, graphite, and other discrete particles of an additive material that is attached to a backing material. The specific selection and mix of fillers with the resin matrix provides the desired blend of bearing properties such as wear resistance, fatigue and erosion resistance and low friction whilst maintaining sufficient flexibility for being formed into flanged cylindrical geometries without detriment to the adherence of the lining to the backing. A method for manufacturing a bearing comprises depositing to a backing material a fluid polymer bearing material comprised of a resin matrix filled with fluoropolymer, various fillers, and discrete particles of an additive to form a continuous consolidated bearing material, and curing the lining material to bond the lining material onto the backing material.
Abstract:
Methods for applying and curing powder coatings, and for imparting a surface effect, e.g., texture or smoothness, to powder coated surfaces are provided. Preferred methods include pressing a textured release medium against the uncured powder coating and then curing the coating to form a thermally stable powder coating surface with the negative image of the texture on the release medium on its surface.
Abstract:
The present disclosure features processes and equipment for forming a variety of textured materials, including both release webs, and finished products such as flooring materials, wall coverings, textured laminates and the like. The processes described herein allow curing radiation to be passed through a texturing medium, rather than through the substrate to which the curable material is applied.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for repair of a coated substrate comprising the steps of a) applying a liquid, ambient temperature curable two-component coating composition on an area of the coated substrate that needs to be repaired, wherein curing of the two-component coating composition commences upon mixing of the components and does not require UV or electron beam radiation or supply of thermal energy, b) applying a film on top of the applied coating composition, c) allowing the applied coating composition to cure, and d) removing the film from the cured coating composition on the substrate. The invention also relates to a kit of parts for carrying out the process, comprising a film and a liquid, ambient temperature curable two-component coating composition.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an apparatus for forming a film. The apparatus comprises a fluid auto-injecting mechanism, a tension control mechanism, and a scraper with a height. The fluid auto-injecting mechanism injects a viscous fluid material on a substrate and controls the injection quantity of the fluid material wherein the fluid material is capable of filtering out volatile organic compounds and the substrate has a shape and experiences a tension. The tension control mechanism controls the tension of the substrate to prevent from shape deformation. The scraper uniformly scraps the fluid material wherein the height of the scraper is adjustable.
