Abstract:
Provided is an X-ray generator for generating X-rays from an X-ray focal point that is a region in which electrons emitted from a filament impinge upon a rotating anode. The X-ray generator has a Wehnelt electrode for surrounding the filament, an attachment part formed integrally with the Wehnelt electrode, a pedestal to which the attachment part is attached, and a casing for housing the pedestal and the anticathode. The width of the space in which the anticathode is housed by the casing is less than the width of the space in which the pedestal is housed by the casing. The Wehnelt electrode extends into the space in which the anticathode is housed by the casing, in a state in which the attachment part is attached to the pedestal.
Abstract:
A compact apparatus can form multi X-ray beams with good controllability. Electron beams (e) emitted from electron emission elements (15) of a multi electron beam generating unit (12) receive the lens effect of a lens electrode (19). The resultant electron beams are accelerated to the final potential level by portions of a transmission-type target portion (13) of an anode electrode (20). The multi X-ray beams (x) generated by the transmission-type target portion (13) pass through an X-ray shielding plate (23) and X-ray extraction portions (24) in a vacuum chamber and are extracted from the X-ray extraction windows (27) of a wall portion (25) into the atmosphere.

Abstract:
An X-ray irradiation apparatus includes an enclosure and an X-ray beam system positioned within the enclosure for directing X-ray beams into an irradiation region. The X-ray beam system has more than one X-ray beam emitter for directing the X-ray beams into the irradiation region from different directions. Each X-ray beam emitter includes a vacuum chamber having a target window and an electron generator positioned within the vacuum chamber for generating electrons that are directed at the target window for forming X-rays which pass through the target window as an X-ray beam. The target window is supported by a support plate having a series of holes therethrough which allow passage of the electrons therethrough to reach the target window.
Abstract:
Air cooled x-ray generating apparatus is provided with a unitary vacuum enclosure having a rotating anode target and a cathode assembly for generating x-rays. The cathode assembly may be placed within the vacuum enclosure through an opening in the top wall thereof, and comprises a disk which completely covers this opening. The unitary vacuum enclosure and the disk form a radiation shield. A plurality of fins are disposed on the exterior side wall of the vacuum enclosure, and a shroud is attached to the fins to provide additional protection of ambient against radiation. The cathode assembly may be placed through a side wall of the vacuum enclosure. The additional protection against excessive radiation in this design is provided by a shielding member placed in proximity to the anode target. The shielding member extends from the side wall of the enclosure and is substantially parallel to the top wall.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an X-ray generating apparatus and an X-ray fluoroscopy imaging system comprising the same. The X-ray generating apparatus comprises: an electron accelerator, an electron emission unit, and a target; and a shielding and collimating device, including a shielding structure and multiple collimators arranged in the shielding structure, wherein the collimators are thin gaps extending from the target to an exterior surface of the shielding structure and having an axis transverse an electron beam shooting the target, and at least two collimators forming different angles with the electron beam are arranged on the same side of a plane contains the electron beam shooting the target, and the planes where the collimators locate form angles from 30 degrees to 150 degrees with the electron beam shooting the target, to draw out planar beams having different draw-out angles, each having uniform intensity distribution in its respective plane.
Abstract:
In a radiation tube, a conductive member having an opening formed therein is disposed, and a dielectric is disposed in the conductive member. Thus, foreign matter that has entered the conductive member through the opening is trapped by the dielectric. As a result, discharge due to foreign matter can be reduced.
Abstract:
The target includes a target layer configured to be irradiated with an electron to generate an X-ray and a support substrate configured to support the target layer. The support substrate includes a polycrystalline diamond and includes multiple structure planes having different area densities of plane orientations from one another. The target layer is supported by the support substrate at a structure plane with a smaller area density of the {101} plane than the area density of the {100} plane and the area density of the {111} plane.
Abstract:
According to one embodiment, a rotating-anode X-ray tube assembly includes a rotating-anode X-ray tube, a housing, a coolant, a first shell, an X-ray shielding member, a second shell and an air introduction unit. The first shell is provided apart from the housing and an envelope of the rotating-anode X-ray tube, and surrounds the envelope. The X-ray shielding member is provided between the first shell and the housing and apart from the housing. The second shell is provided apart from the housing to cause an airway to be formed between the second shell and the housing. The air introduction unit produces a flow of air in the airway.
