An object with a coating comprising: a) covalent bonds formed by reaction of a thiol group and a carbon-carbon double bond, b) covalent bonds formed by reaction of a thiol group and epoxide group, c) covalent bonds formed by a reaction of a carbon-carbon double bond and an epoxide group, said coating comprising a first primer coating and a second coating, said coating comprising covalent bonds between said first and second coatings, said first primer coating comprising covalent cross links between compounds, in the first coating the fraction (r3=ta/tc) of unreacted thiol groups (ta) to thiol groups which have reacted to form a covalent bond (tc) does not exceed 0.11, wherein the half height peak width of tan delta does not exceed 30° C. Advantages of the dual cure composition is that excellent strength is obtained and that the second curing is slow compared to the first initial curing.
Abstract:
A cold spray nozzle assembly for applying a coating of particles to a substrate includes a nozzle defining an inner passage with a nozzle exit. The nozzle assembly also includes a particle supply member in communication with the inner passage. The particle supply member supplies the particles to flow and accelerate through the inner passage and out of the nozzle via the nozzle exit toward the substrate to be coated thereon. Furthermore, the nozzle assembly includes a laser that emits a laser beam that is transmitted through the inner passage. The laser heats at least one of the particles and the substrate to promote coating of the substrate with the particles.
Abstract:
A substrate holder for a lithographic apparatus has a main body having a thin-film stack provided on a surface thereof. The thin-film stack forms an electronic or electric component such as an electrode, a sensor, a heater, a transistor or a logic device, and has a top isolation layer. A plurality of burls to support a substrate are formed on the thin-film stack or in apertures of the thin-film stack.

A method includes applying a filler material to at least one component, the filler material including a heat curable matrix and nanoparticles; and applying an electromagnetic field to at least part of the filler material. The nanoparticles have a core capable of being heated by the electromagnetic field to a temperature sufficient to at least partially cure surrounding matrix. Another method involves applying a filler material to at least one component, the filler material including a matrix containing nanoparticles. The nanoparticles have a magnetic property and are present in a concentration sufficient to cause the matrix to flow in response to application of a magnetic field. The method also includes generating a magnetic field so as to guide the matrix into a space to be filled.

There is provided a process for forming a contained second layer over a first layer, including the steps: forming the first layer having a first surface energy; treating the first layer with a priming layer; exposing the priming layer patternwise with radiation resulting in exposed areas and unexposed areas; developing the priming layer to effectively remove the priming layer from either the exposed areas or the unexposed areas resulting in a first layer having a pattern of priming layer, wherein the pattern of priming layer has a second surface energy that is higher than the first surface energy; and forming the second layer by liquid depositions on the pattern of priming layer on the first layer. There is also provided an organic electronic device made by the process.
