Abstract:
A water filter includes a filter unit having a body portion adapted to be rotatingly received into a filter head assembly. An engagement protrusion extends from the body portion and is adapted for reception in a complementary receiver in the filter head assembly. An electronic device is disposed on the filter unit having a memory storage unit. A laterally extending key member is disposed on the body portion between the first engagement surface and the second engagement surface. The laterally extending key member is adapted to reposition an interference member from an interference position, whereby the body portion can be fully inserted into the filter head assembly to a non-interference position, whereby the body portion can be fully inserted into the filter head assembly.
Abstract:
A water treatment system having an inlet for receiving water to be treated and a manifold that defines a pair of fluid streams communicating with the inlet. A valve module carried by the manifold controls the communication of water at the inlet with treatment cartridges and with a common outlet. The valve module includes a valve member that is movable between two positions such that, in one position, the valve member communicates each fluid stream with an associated cartridge and, in a second position, communicates the inlet with the common outlet and bypasses the cartridges. A remotely mounted cartridge depletion indicator is provided that includes a linkage that is magnetically coupled to a stem assembly located within a flow metering mechanism. Movement in the internal stem assembly is transferred via the magnetically coupled external linkage to a cartridge depletion indicator visible to the operator.

Abstract:
Provided is a separation membrane module including: a tubular pressure container 7 in which a raw liquid is filtered through a separation membrane to produce a permeate liquid; and an internal member 5A provided in the pressure container 7. The internal member 5A is equipped with a sensor for detecting characteristics of at least one of the raw liquid and the permeate liquid. A detected signal generated by the sensor is transmitted from an antenna 65. The internal member 5A has an antenna holding portion 54 in which the antenna 65 is embedded. A gap between the antenna holding portion 54 and an inner peripheral surface 7a of the pressure container 7 is sealed with a sealing member 42.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is an ultraviolet sterilizer having a watertight function. The ultraviolet sterilizer includes a housing and an ultraviolet sterilization unit. The housing has an inlet through which ballast water is drawn into the housing, and an outlet through which the ballast water is discharged from the housing after the ballast water has been sterilized. The ultraviolet sterilization unit is provided in the housing and includes an ultraviolet lamp applying ultraviolet rays to the ballast water to sterilize the ballast water. The ultraviolet sterilizer further includes a cap which supports each of the opposite ends of the ultraviolet sterilization unit and is watertightly coupled to the housing. Thus, even if the ultraviolet sterilization unit is damaged, ballast water is prevented from being drawn into a reception space which contains external devices, and explosive gas which may cause the ultraviolet sterilizer to explode is also prevented from entering the cap.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a ballast water treatment device. The device includes a filtering unit filtering ballast water introduced into a ship using a filter, a vortex generating unit generating an artificial vortex in the ballast water filtered by the filtering unit, and an ultraviolet treatment unit having an ultraviolet lamp which sterilizes the ballast water discharged from the vortex generating unit using ultraviolet rays, thus preventing secondary contamination resulting from by-products, preventing a ballast tank from becoming contaminated, affording effective maintenance, and making it convenient to control. Further, an artificial vortex is formed in the ballast water when it is mixed, thus allowing a large quantity of ultraviolet rays to be radiated onto the ballast water passing through the ultraviolet treatment unit, therefore improving a sterilization effect.
Abstract:
A multi-purpose water filter cartridge assembly has two sets of manifold holes formed in a top of a manifold integration board. Each set of manifold holes is composed of an inlet, a first outlet and a second outlet. The first outlet of the first set of manifold holes communicates with the inlet of the second set of manifold holes. The manifold integration board further has four sets of cartridge connection holes formed in a bottom thereof and each set is composed of a first inlet, a second inlet and an outlet. The first and second inlets of two sets of the four sets of cartridge connection holes respectively communicate with the first and second outlets of the first set of manifold holes. The inlets of the two sets of cartridge connection holes respectively communicate with the outlets of the first set of manifold holes. The first and second inlets of the other two sets of cartridge connection holes respectively communicate with the first and second outlets of the second set of manifold holes, and the inlets of the two sets of cartridge connection holes respectively communicate with the outlets of the second set of manifold holes through connection holes inside the manifold integration board. At least one filter cartridge is mounted on a bottom of the manifold integration board. The present invention can conveniently and accurately connect multiple filter cartridges in serial, in parallel or both.
