Fire protection apparatus, systems, and methods for addressing a fire with a mist are provided. More particularly, the invention provides systems and their method of design which provide a water mist to address and preferably suppress a fire. The invention further provides systems and methods for total flooding volume protection of a space to address a fire, preferably control, suppress, and more preferably extinguish a fire. The invention further provides atomizing devices for use in such systems and methods.
Abstract:
Generation of cavitation jet in air on a surface of a work roll provides a higher cleaning force than squirting of only high pressure fluid, so that sticking substances on the surface of the work roll are reliably removable. When a distance between a cleaning nozzle and the surface of the work roll and pressure of the high pressure fluid are controlled within a predetermined range, sticking substances are efficiently removable while roughness of the surface of the work roll is maintained.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a water feature nozzle comprising at least two separate water guides (1, 3) each with at least one outlet opening (13, 14), wherein controllably different water volume streams (V1,V2) can be directed to the outlet openings (13, 14) via the water guides (1, 3) in order to generate variable water patterns at a nozzle outlet (9), the water feature nozzle being designed such that an inner water guide (1) is surrounded by at least one outer water guide (3), and both water guides (1, 3) direct parallel-orientated water streams (V1,V2) as far as the nozzle outlet (9). One of the water guides (1, 3) has an adjustable flow deflector (10, 11) on the nozzle outlet (9), which flow deflector (10, 11) annularly encloses the inner water jet.
Abstract:
In a rotary atomizer (10) including a rotating bell (92) secured to a rotating shaft (20a) of an air motor (20) held in an atomizer body, the rotating bell having a plurality of orifices (92a) for supplying paint to an object to be painted, the rotating bell being rotated to spray the paint toward the object to be painted, the rotary atomizer comprises a paint passage (102a) with a paint port (112c) at an end thereof fluidly communicating with the orifices of the rotating bell, and a water passage (108) arranged outside of the paint passage and having a water port at an end of the water passage leading to the orifices of the rotating bell. A needle (94) for opening and closing the paint port may be provided.
Abstract:
An air assisted electrostatic liquid spray nozzle assembly having a relatively long elongated nozzle body with a spray tip and surrounding air cap disposed at a downstream end of the nozzle body. The spray nozzle assembly includes an upstream electrode for connection to a high voltage electric source, an elongated feed tube, an electrically enhancing stinger, and the spray tip which are secured and retained by the air cap in electrically conductive relation to each other such that liquid passing through liquid passages of the electrode, feed tube, stinger, and spray tip is discharged in an electrostatically charged pattern of liquid particles. The air cap is removable to permit easy removal and replacement of the spray tip, stinger, and liquid feed tube.
Abstract:
An airbrush cleaning system is disclosed which includes a nose cap configured to sealingly fit on a spray nose assembly of an airbrush, a reservoir cap configured to sealingly fit over a liquid reservoir of the airbrush, a first tether connecting the bulb nose cap and the reservoir cap, a cap plug configured to seal off an air inlet port of the airbrush, a lever block configured to hold an airbrush needle valve in the open position, and a second tether connecting the cap plug and the lever block. A kit including the cleaning system and the airbrush and a method for using the cleaning system are also disclosed.
Abstract:
A connecting piece is provided for a static spray mixer for mixing and spraying at least two flowable components which has a tubular mixer housing having at least one mixing element as well as an atomizing sleeve, wherein connecting piece has an inlet region for cooperating with the distal end region of the mixer housing as well as an outlet region for cooperating with the atomizing sleeve, with the inlet region and the outlet region including a deflection angle (α) different from zero, and wherein the outlet region has at its end remote from the inlet region an end section whose outer contour is the same as that of the mixer housing so that the end section of the outlet region can cooperate with the atomizing sleeve in the same manner as the distal end region of the mixer housing can cooperate with the atomizing sleeve.
Abstract:
