Abstract:
A laminate having excellent abrasion resistance to physical stimuli such as dust. The laminate comprises a base layer, a hard coat layer and a top coat layer containing flaky metal oxide fine particles all of which are formed in the mentioned order. The flaky metal oxide fine particles are hardened by at least one method selected from the group consisting of ionizing material exposure, ionizing radiation exposure, infrared exposure, microwave exposure and high-temperature vapor exposure.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a composition for ferroelectric thin film formation which is used in the formation of a ferroelectric thin film of one material selected from the group consisting of PLZT, PZT, and PT. The composition for ferroelectric thin film formation is a liquid composition for the formation of a thin film of a mixed composite metal oxide formed of a mixture of a composite metal oxide (A) represented by general formula (1): (PbxLay)(ZrzTi(1-z))O3 [wherein 0.9
Abstract:
A process for depositing a layer on at least part of the surface of a substrate by at least partially submerging the substrate in a solution comprising a solvent and at least one compound intended to form the layer, then drying the substrate, this drying being at least partially carried out in an atmosphere that is isolated from the solution. The submersion in the solution and the drying of the substrate are carried out in the same controlled-atmosphere enclosure.
Abstract:
According to one embodiment, a film forming apparatus includes: a stage on which a coating object is placed; a rotation mechanism rotating the stage; an application nozzle supplying a coating material to the coating object; an application moving mechanism moving the application nozzle; a controller which controls the rotation mechanism and application moving mechanism to rotate the stage and move the application nozzle between the rotation center and the outer edge and controls the application nozzle to apply the coating material to the coating object; and a sound wave generator which generates a sound wave. The film forming apparatus projects the sound wave onto the surface of the coating film.
Abstract:
A wall surface of a film forming container is heated to or above a vaporization temperature of a material monomer, which is used to form an organic film, by using an external heater formed along the wall surface of the film forming container, substrates are heated to a thermal polymerization reaction temperature by using an internal heater that is disposed apart from the external heater and near a substrate-supporting container in which the substrates are received, and the organic film is formed through thermal polymerization occurring on the substrates by supplying the material monomer into the film forming container.
Abstract:
Provided is a porous carbon material composite formed of a porous carbon material and a functional material and equipped with high functionality. A porous carbon material composite is formed of (A) a porous carbon material obtainable from a plant-derived material having a silicon (Si) content of 5 wt % or higher as a raw material, said porous carbon material having a silicon (Si) content of 1 wt % or lower, and (B) a functional material adhered on the porous carbon material, and has a specific surface area of 10 m2/g or greater as determined by the nitrogen BET method and a pore volume of 0.1 cm3/g or greater as determined by the BJH method and MP method.
Abstract:
In a drying method of an aspect of the present invention, drying steps are conducted immediately after coating in a drying zone, and during the execution of drying by blowing the one-way flow drying wind flowing from one edge side to another edge side in the width direction of the continuous support, the windless drying step is conducted in a windless drying zone provided in the drying zone where the drying wind is not blown.
Abstract:
A process for the pretreatment of a polyolefin product before coating consisting essentially of the steps of treating the surface of the polyolefin product before coating using an organic solvent having a solubility parameter (SP value) equal or similar to that of the polyolefin and subsequently applying a plasma treating thereto in the presence of an active gas by microwave treating the active gas under vacuum. As a result of the process, the surface of the polyolefin product is activated and the adhesion of the coating film is improved.
Abstract:
An apparatus for applying a coating composition to an article and drying the solvent from the so applied coating prior to introduction of the coated article into the ambient atmosphere, comprising a housing or chamber in a generally "J" shape in which the small upwardly turned portion of the "J" defines an inner compartment isolated from the ambient atmosphere by the "J" configuration when the chamber is filled with a volatile solvent vapor and the inner compartment vapors are at an elevated temperature with respect to the remainder of the vapors in the chamber. The apparatus is provided with condensing means at the ambient atmosphere entrance and exit, a source of solvent vapors which may be integral with the chamber, and a means to introduce heat to the vapors and articles when they are in the inner compartment. The apparatus also includes article handling and moving means for transporting articles to be coated into, through and out of the apparatus as well as spray or dip means to apply the coating to the article.
