Abstract: An electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding structure and a manufacturing method thereof are provided. The EMI shielding structure includes a shielding dam provided on a printed circuit board, the shielding dam forming a closed loop that defines a periphery of adjacent shielding regions of the printed circuit board; an insulating member that is provided on the adjacent shielding regions within the shielding dam, the insulating member covering circuit devices provided in the adjacent shielding regions; and a shielding member that covers an upper surface of the insulating member, wherein the shielding dam includes a border portion surrounding the adjacent shielding regions, and a partition portion disposed between the adjacent shielding regions and within the border portion.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing laminated printed matter includes the steps of ejecting, by an ink jet process, a colorant-containing active-radiation-curable ink composition onto a recording medium; ejecting, by an ink jet process, a colorant-free or white-pigment-containing active-radiation-curable ink composition into a non-image area adjoining an image area formed by the colorant-containing ink composition; curing the ejected colorant-containing ink composition and the ejected colorant-free or white-pigment-containing ink composition by irradiation with active radiation to form an image layer; and laminating a lamination film on a surface on which the image layer has been formed. Laminated printed matter has, in sequence, an image layer and a lamination film. The image layer is composed of an image area and a non-image area. The non-image area is formed of a cured product selected from the group consisting of transparent cured products and white cured products. The non-image area adjoins a side of the image area in a direction along the plane of the recording medium.

Abstract: Systems and methods for dispensing liquid materials as may be used in applications for coating flexible films and the like. Such a film may be coated by dispensing a rheological material onto its surface while drawing the film through a gap between a pair of rollers. The gap defines the thickness of a layer of the material applied to the film and is maintained at a desired width by microwires positioned through the gap. Another film across the gap from that to which the rheological material is applied aids in the coating of the layer and a contact area of the second film may be adjusted relative to the gap, e.g., when changing materials or when the coating film becomes abraded or deformed.
