The tip of a downstream lip is disposed so as to be further separated from a web as compared to the tip of an adjacent lip, and downstream and upstream spacers are placed so that the a liquid discharge port length interposed between two downstream spacers is shorter than that of a liquid discharge port interposed between two upstream spacers. The method includes coating coating-liquid to the surface of the web from a slot die, which is formed so that tips of the downstream spacers are placed at the same position as a tip of the adjacent lip or further protrude so as to be closer to the web than the tip of the adjacent lip; depressurizing the cover inside that is provided on the upstream side of the slot die during the coating; and drying the coating-liquid that is coated to the surface of the web.

In a method for producing a laminate film, a first coating fluid containing a first organic solvent in which particles having a first charge are dispersed and a second coating fluid containing a second organic solvent in which a binder having a second charge opposite to the first charge is dissolved are applied on one surface of a running support by wet-on-wet multilayer coating to form a second coating film and a first coating film, and the particles and the binder are gelated by neutralization between the charges to form a gelled layer. This method enables to prevent the first coating fluid and the second coating fluid from being mixed together.

A method for manufacturing a film with multilayer, comprising: a preparation process of preparing a plurality of coating liquids including one or more resin containing coating liquids which contain a solvent, a photopolymerization initiator, an actinic ray curable monomer and an actinic ray curable resins having one or more types of molecular weights and the molecular weights of 2500 or more; an application process of applying the plurality of coating liquids to the film in a manner that at least one of a lower layer and an upper layer which contact with each other is formed; a first irradiation process of irradiating the multilayer with actinic ray in a state where the resin containing coating liquid has a solvent concentration of 10% by weight or more; a drying process of drying the multilayer and; the second irradiation process of irradiating the multilayer with actinic ray.

The present invention provides a method for manufacturing an optical film which is superior in transportability and lamination suitability in a lamination step in a polarizing plate processing. A slide coating device includes applying one or more coating liquids flowing down on a slide face to the surface of a continuously traveling strip-shaped support through the bead of the coating liquids, which is formed by the coating liquids in a lip clearance formed between a lip tip in the lower end of the slide face and the surface of the support, and also having guide plates on both ends of the slide face, which guide the downflow of the coating liquids, wherein the guide plates are provided so that the lower ends of the guide plates are retracted from the lip tip by the range of more than 0 mm and less than 4 mm.
