Abstract:
An improved ice dispenser having a serving chamber that feeds ice to dispensing tray which has a dispensing opening on a lower surface of the dispensing tray to feed ice to the end user. The dispensing tray is configured to slide from a closed position that keeps ice within the dispensing tube, to a fill position that allows ice from the dispensing tube to fill the serving chamber, and further to an open position that dispenses ice from the serving chamber. The transfer opening has a protruding edge on an interior face thereof, the protruding edge being configured to break up ice within the dispensing tube when the dispensing tray is slid from the fill position to the open position.
Abstract:
A deceleration apparatus capable of decelerating a short spot beam or a tall ribbon beam is disclosed. In either case, effects tending to degrade the shape of the beam profile are controlled. Caps to shield the ion beam from external potentials are provided. Electrodes whose position and potentials are adjustable are provided, on opposite sides of the beam, to ensure that the shape of the decelerating and deflecting electric fields does not significantly deviate from the optimum shape, even in the presence of the significant space-charge of high current low-energy beams of heavy ions.
Abstract:
In a system for implanting workpieces with an accurately parallel scanned ion beam, a fine-control collimator construct is used to reduce the deviation of the scanned ion beam from a specified axis of parallelism and thereby improve its collimation. The shape of the fine-control collimator matches the ribbon shape of the beam and correction of parallelism in two orthogonal directions is possible. Measurement of the non-parallelism is accomplished by sampling the scanned beam in two planes and comparing timing information; and such measurement is calibrated to the orientation of the workpiece in the plane where ion implantation occurs. Measurement of non-uniformity in the doping profile is accomplished using the same means; and the scan waveform is adjusted to substantially remove any non-uniformity in the doping profile.
Abstract:
An electromagnetic regulator assembly for the production of contiguous magnetic fields which are applied to a continuous ion beam is described. The assembly is structured for controlling the uniformity of traveling continuous ribbon-shaped beams; and allows for direct adjustment of the magnetic field gradient of the magnetic field as the parameter for increasing the current uniformity.
Abstract:
An assembly for scent training an animal, such as a detection or sniffer dog, is presented herein. The assembly includes a scent pod defining a pocket with an at least partially open top. The assembly also includes a food bowl defining a bowl body and a raised scent distribution column surrounded by a food receiving trough region. The raised scent distribution column includes an at least partially hollow interior portion defined by at least one wall and a scent permeable top surface. The scent pod is selectively movable between an independent use with the lid, and a removable attachment with the food bowl.

Abstract:
This invention discloses an ion implantation apparatus with multiple operating modes. It has an ion source and an ion extraction means for extracting a ribbon-shaped ion beam therefrom. The ion implantation apparatus includes a magnetic analyzer for selecting ions with specific mass-to-charge ratio to pass through a mass slit to project onto a substrate. Multipole lenses are provided to control beam uniformity and collimation. The invention further discloses a two-path beamline in which a second path incorporates a deceleration system incorporating energy filtering. The invention discloses methods of ion implantation in which the mode of implantation may be switched from one-dimensional scanning of the target to two-dimensional scanning, and from a simple path to an s-shaped path with deceleration.
Abstract:
An apparatus is provided for one-dimensional magnetic scanning or switching of a charged particle beam. The apparatus can be extended to two dimensions at the cost of added complexity.
