Abstract: Methods and systems for coating metal substrates are provided. The methods and systems include sequential application of low flow and high flow powder coatings followed by a single heating step to provide a cured coating. The methods and systems include a marker that allows coating uniformity to be monitored and assessed during application. The described methods provide coatings with optimal surface smoothness and edge coverage.

Abstract: A tooling system is disclosed for wood or metal working including a working element, and a work piece engagement surface at least partially surrounding, positioned adjacent to, or positioned proximate to, the working element, the work piece feedable toward the working element or the working element feedable across the work piece when the work piece is positioned against or supported by the work piece engagement surface; wherein the work piece engagement surface includes a low friction and/or non-stick coating. The workpiece engagement surface may be roughened up such that it has an average surface roughness (RA) of between about 1 micrometer and about 4 micrometers to facilitate its adhesion with the low friction coating while providing a low friction coating with a low coefficient of kinetic friction.

Abstract: Polypropylene (PP) superhydrophobic sheets and a fabrication method using a stream of polypropylene from plastic waste thereof are provided. Superhydrophobic PP sheets of varying thickness having a base layer and a top layer may be fabricated using recycled or waste polypropylene, where the fabrication process uses 20% of total plastic waste to prepare said sheets having contact angles ranging from 140 to 160 degrees. The polypropylene superhydrophobic sheets may impart protective water-repellent properties against the elements.

Abstract: An automatic processing device of a carbon fiber tube includes a polishing device, a washing device, a first drying device, a printing device, a painting device and a second drying device centrally disposed along an identical axis in sequence to form an automatic production line. The polishing device includes feeding mechanisms disposed on two sides of a frame respectively and a positioning-polishing mechanism disposed between the feeding mechanisms. The printing device includes a supporting mechanism and a rolling-printing mechanism mounted on the frame. The disclosure aims at providing an automatic processing device of a carbon fiber tube and a processing method thereof, combining the polishing device, the printing device and the painting device as a whole. Separate processes such as polishing, printing and painting of the conventional carbon fiber tube are integrated to achieve the automatic production in the production line, which can significantly speed up the schedule.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing an aluminum product includes a spraying step, in which a workpiece heated at a brazing step is cooled by spraying of a process liquid on the workpiece, as a boehmite treatment step after the brazing step. After the brazing step, the workpiece has been heated for brazing. A surface of the workpiece can be changed into boehmite having corrosion resistance by the spraying of the process liquid on the heated workpiece so as to contact a water molecule. Moreover, the process liquid sprayed can be dried by the heat of the workpiece. Accordingly, the brazing step, a surface treatment step and a drying step can be performed in a consecutive line.
