Abstract: The invention relates to a biodegradable, thermoplastic molding material that contains a) at least one biodegradable, thermoplastic copolyester and b) 0.01 to 15 % by weight of a hydrophobically modified phyllosilicate, based on the entire weight of the thermoplastic molding material. The total of the weight percentages of compounds A) to E) is 100 %.

Abstract: A polyester dispersion contains water and a biodegradable, aliphatic aromatic copolyester. Also disclosed is a process for producing the same, its use as a binder for nonwoven fabrics and for coating paper, nonwoven fabrics produced by using the disclosed polyester dispersion, a process for producing the nonwoven fabrics and their use. A preferred copolyester substantially consists of terephthalic acid, adipic acid and butanediol and further contains free acid groups which are neutralised when the aqueous dispersion is prepared.
