    Abstract: PURPOSE: A power transmission system of a hybrid vehicle is provided to enable a multi-mode operation and a high-efficiency operation for the whole gear ratio range of the vehicle and to improve fuel efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A power transmission system of a hybrid vehicle comprises first and second planetary gear sets(PG1,PG2), first and second motor/generators(MG1,MG2), and a torque transmission mechanism. The first and second planetary gear sets is directly connected with one rotary element and selectively connected with another rotary element, thereby operating as a single composite planetary gear set. The first and second motor/generators are independent power sources that serve as a motor or generator. The torque transmission mechanism comprises a first clutch(CL1) which selectively connects one rotary element of the first planetary gear set and one rotary element of the second planetary gear set, a second clutch(CL2) which selectively connects two of three rotary elements of the first planetary gear set, a first brake(BK1) which variably connects one rotary element of the first planetary gear set and a transmission housing(H) to one rotary element of the second planetary gear set so that the rotary element of the second planetary gear set can operate as a fixing element, and a second brake(BK2) which is arranged in parallel with the second motor/generator so that a rotary element connected to the second motor/generator can operate as a selective fixing element.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A torsion damper for a hybrid vehicle is provided to protect a transmission and a torsion damper through blocking the transferring of excessive torque due to the inertia of a motor or resonance to a transmission. CONSTITUTION: A torsion damper for a hybrid vehicle comprises a inertial plate(1), a cover plate(3), a first damper plate(5), a second damper plate(7), a plurality of compression coil spring(9), a driven plate(11), a connecting plate(13), a torque limiter(15), and a spline hub(17). The inertial plate is coupled with the output shaft of an engine. The cover plate forms an oil storage space through being coupled with the inertial plate. The first damper plate and the second damper plate are coupled with the inertial plate into one body. The plurality of compression coil spring absorbs the vibration and impact of rotation direction. The driven plate is installed between the first damper plate and the second damper plate. The driven plate receives reaction force through being supported by the plurality of compression coil spring. The connecting plate connects the plurality of compression coil spring in a row and is installed in the outer circumference of the driven plate. The torque limiter is connected to the driven plate. The spline hub is connected to the torque limiter for transferring the driving force from the torque limiter to a transmission.
