    Abstract: Stable aqueous solubilizates suitable for parenteral administration, of carotenoids an vitamins or vitamin derivatives, in which the carotenoid and the water-insoluble vitamins are, with the aid of a nonionic emulsifier, in the form of a micellar solution, the micelles being smaller than 100 nm, wherein the solubilizates comprise, in amounts based on the solubilizate, at least one carotenoid in a concentration of from 0.1 to 10% by weight, the water-insoluble, lipophilic vitamins or vitamin derivatives in a concentration of from 0.1 to 20% by weight and the nonionic emulsifiers in a concentration of from 1 to 40% by weight, with the proviso that the content of lipophilic vitamins is at least as large as that of the carotenoid.

    Abstract: The invention relates to the combination of polyvinyl acetate and water-insoluble, acid-insoluble, or alkali-insoluble polymers used for producing film coatings for forms of administration in which agents are released in a controlled manner, and methods for the production thereof. The controlled-release properties can be specifically adjusted by means of said combinations, resulting in films having excellent mechanical stability and storage stability. Use of water-soluble or water-dispersible polymer by polymerization of a mixture, comprising 99.99-10 wt.% of at least one alpha ,beta - ethylenic unsaturated compound with at least one cationogenic and/or cationic group per molecule, 0-90 wt.% of at least one of different monoethylenic unsaturated amide group containing compound, 0.01-5 wt.% of cross linker, 0-15 wt.% of at least one monoethylenic unsaturated compound containing at least one group of 5-30C alkyl substituted group, 5-30C alkenyl, 5-8C cycloalkyl, aryl, aryl alkyl and hetaryl, and/or a reactive precursor, 0-30 wt.% of further different monoethylenic unsaturated compound and 0-70 wt.% of a polyether containing compound, where the polymerization is carried out in the presence of less than 69 wt.% of cyclohexane and less than 12 wt.% of water, and the absence of carbon dioxide, for modification of the rheologic aqueous and/or alcoholic compositions. Independent claims are included for: (1) a water-soluble or water-dispersible polymer; and (2) a cosmetic or pharmaceutical agent comprising the water-soluble or water-dispersible polymer.
