Abstract:
A system for measuring analytical reactions comprising a socket (51, 57) which is suitable for holding an optode array chip (40).The socket comprises electrical contacts that mate with electrical contacts on a chip when such a chip is inserted into the socket. The socket furthermore permits fluid from a fluidics system (33) and illumination from an illumination system (53) to be for delivered to a chip when such a chip is inserted into the socket. The socket may be of the clam shell type.
Abstract:
Compositions and methods for nucleic acid sequencing include template constructs that comprise double stranded portions in a partially or completely contiguous constructs, to provide redundant sequence determination through one or both of sequencing sense and antisense strands, and iteratively sequencing the entire construct multiple times. Additional sequence components are also optionally included within such template constructs. Methods are also provided for the use and preparation of these constructs as well as sequencing compositions for their application.
Abstract:
Methods of producing substrates having selected active chemical regions by employing elements of the substrates in assisting the localization of active chemical groups in desired regions of the substrate. The methods may include optical, chemical and/or mechanical processes for the deposition, removal, activation and/or deactivation of chemical groups in selected regions of the substrate to provide selective active regions of the substrate.
Abstract:
Isolated and/or recombinant enzymes that include surface binding domains, surfaces with active enzymes bound to them and methods of coupling enzymes to surfaces are provided. Enzymes can include large and/or multiple surface coupling domains for surface coupling.
