Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for measuring roundness of a cylinder bore for a vehicle engine is provided to improve reliability of measurement by measuring the roundness of the cylinder bore in a least square circle method. CONSTITUTION: Center points of bores are determined by using three measurement points, which are formed on an upper surface of a cylinder block, on the basis of a z-axis of the upper surface. Plural roundness measurement points, which divide inner diameters of the bores into several parts, are formed. Then, the roundness measurement points are sequentially measured according to depths of the bores. Inscribed and circumscribed circles are obtained from a distribution of the roundness measurement point. Then, the area difference between the inscribed and circumscribed circles is measured. Then, a circumference difference between the inscribed and circumscribed circles is measured through a least square circle method.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A cylinder liner and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve bond strength and thermal conductance between a cylinder block and a cylinder liner during the formation of a cylinder block. CONSTITUTION: A cylinder liner comprises multiple engraved grooves(21) and a metal layer(22). The multiple engraved grooves are formed on the entire outer surface(20a) of the cylinder liner. The multiple engraved grooves reinforce coherence between the cast metal and the outer surface of the cylinder liner(20) during the injection of the cast metal.
