Abstract: La invencion se refiere a un metodo para la produccion de polimeros de estirol expansible, resistente a flama (EPS) mediante la extrusion de una fusion de polimero de estirol que contiene un propulsor y agentes a prueba de flama a traves de una placa de boquilla con subsecuente granulacion bajo agua. El tiempo de permanencia del agente a prueba de flama es de menos de 30 minutos a una temperatura de fusion en la region de entre 140 hasta 220 degree C.
