    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly measure the temperature of a silicon work piece where a process material is present in a wide range including a low temperature by spectrum analyzing ultraviolet beams reflected by the silicon work piece and converting the obtained spectrum data into a temperature value. SOLUTION: A light source 11 of the light reflection type thermometer radiates ultraviolet rays and visible light beams in a wavelength range of 250-550 nm. The radiated light beams and ultraviolet beam 12 through a polariscope 13. A surface 10A of the silicon work piece 10 is irradiated thereon with the beam with an angle of incidence ϕ(ϕ>45 deg.). The reflecting light beam 12 at the surface 10A is corrected by a polariscope 14, and spectrum analyzed by a spectrum analysis apparatus 15 having an optical grating diffusion element 16 and a silicon photo detector 17, so that spectrum data is obtained. The obtained spectrum data is converted into a temperature value. Information on the temperature value is sent to an electronic circuit or heating element, thereby controlling a temperature. The temperature of the silicon work piece 10 when a process material is applied or the like can be correctly measured accordingly.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To largely speed up a time for calculating by decomposing a comprehensibility problem into a plurality of sub-problems so that each of the sub- problems can be solved in a given one where there is a hardware element and deciding a solvable index for at least each subset of the sub-problems by using the corresponding reconstructable hardware element. SOLUTION: A microprocessor (μP) 106 controls a virtual logical system of a satisfier 102 based on an OR/AND decomposition tree having a terminal node for specifying the number of sub-problems. The μP 106 allocates the sub- problem to empty FPGA 112-1 to-9, starts their reconstruction process, starts FPGA operation and monitors an FPGA completion signal. A common programming bus 116 carries structure data to the FPGA 112-1 to-9 selected from a RAM 108. This calculation does not need data path connection between the FPGA, so this architecture is rather simple.

It is desirable, however, that the list of sample ordinary words are ordered on the basis of the frequency of correlation under a normal usage and a most ordinary word is specified as a default sample word. A subset composed of the words having higher probability of being selected is shown to the user first among the words in the list.

SOLUTION: The interference protection system is provided with a detector 26 in cooperation with an antenna system 20 and a controller 28. The detector 26 generates a nonlinear signal 41 denoting a received amplitude of the jamming signal. The controller 28 controls the antenna system 20 so that the jamming signal is spatially filtered out from the desired signal by directing a variable null direction in a direction of an arrival angle of the jamming signal with respect to the antenna system 20.

SOLUTION: Relative signal intensity that a mobile station(MS) receives from a nearby base terminal station(BTS) is detected. The loss of a communication path is evaluated by monitoring and evaluating the influence of jamming in an opposite direction in the BTS. A BTS which does not exist in the active group of BTSs communicating with a specified MS is combined with the active group and an evaluation set, namely, the super set of the BTS, which is called as an e-set, is generated. A data rate that can be supplied is determined for each BTS in the e-set communicating with an MS. It is determined by selecting the lowest data rate that BTS in the e-set can supply with respect to the transmission of data between the BTS in the e-set and the MS. The transmission of an opposite direction link is of especially high power, and high data rate transmission is stopped or the reduction of power is instructed.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the performance and the throughput of a wireless communication system by allocating a burst transmission period to transmission path between a base station and a mobile station in accordance with the function of phasing fluctuation. SOLUTION: The fluctuation of the phasing of a data channel serviced to a user is determined in a step 101. A short burst transmission period is allocated to the user having the high fluctuation of phasing (step 103) and the long burst transmission period is allocated to the user with the small fluctuation of phasing (step 104). In allocating the transmission period of burst, a system decides the level of the moving degree of the user in a step 102 in addition to the consideration of phasing fluctuation. When the mobile station is decided to move with the high moving degree, the short burst transmission period is allocated to communication with the mobile station in the step 103. The long burst transmission period is allocated to the mobile station with the low moving degree in the step 104.
