An apparatus for extending the lifespan of a catalytic particulate filter is provided to measure accumulation of particulate materials by filtering of exhaust gas after connecting a metal sintered filter with a catalytic particulate filter for a vehicle. An apparatus for extending the lifespan of a catalytic particulate filter comprises a metal sintered filter(10) connected in parallel to a monolith filter(3). An electric wire(20) is connected with the metal sintered filter to apply power to the metal sintered filter. A first temperature sensor(30) measures the temperature of exhaust gas. A second temperature sensor(40) measures the temperature of the front portion of the metal sintered filter. A back pressure sensor(50) measures a back pressure of the metal sintered filter. A controller(60) outputs a control signal according to output signals of the sensors.

PURPOSE: A diesel-gasoline mixed combustion engine, a control method thereof, and diesel-gasoline mixed combustion system with a complex ignition method are provided to operate the diesel-gasoline mixed combustion system beyond the operating area by performing ignition with a spark plug. CONSTITUTION: A diesel-gasoline mixed combustion engine with a complex ignition method comprises a cylinder block, a spark plug, a diesel injector, and an electric control unit. The cylinder block comprises a plurality of cylinders, and each cylinder is connected to intake and exhaust manifolds. The spark plug and diesel injector are respectively placed in the cylinders. The electric control unit sucks a gasoline mixture into the cylinders, and performs ignition by the spark plug when the operating area is in a heavy or light load area. The electric control unit performs compression-ignition by injecting diesel to the diesel injector when the operating area is between the heavy and light load areas. 본 발명은 혼합연소 엔진의 고/전부하 운전 영역에서 압축 행정 시 디젤 연료를 분사하고 EGR 장치를 적용함으로써 연료-공기 혼합기의 압축 온도를 낮추어 고부하 운전영역에서 가솔린 연료에 의한 노킹 발생을 방지할 수 있는 디젤/가솔린 혼합연소 적용 엔진의 연소 제어 방법에 관한 것이다. 또한, 본 발명은 고부하 가솔린 운전 영역에서 디젤 연료를 분사시켜 디젤 인젝터 노즐을 냉각함으로써, 높은 연소온도에 의한 디젤 인젝터 노즐이 용융되는 현상의 발생을 방지할 수 있다.

PURPOSE: An EGR(Exhaust Gas Regeneration) control system of the gasoline/diesel fuel mixing compression ignition combustion engine and a method thereof are provided to control the combustion time of the gasoline/diesel fuel mixing compression ignition combustion engine and minimize producing particulate matter, thereby preventing the operability of EGR system from deteriorating by using the particulate matter. CONSTITUTION: An EGR control system of the gasoline/diesel fuel mixing compression ignition combustion engine include a plurality of cylinders(101~104) and an exhaust gas line(200). The cylinder includes a fuel injector(101a, 102a, and 103a). Exhaust gas, which is discharged by combusting fuel from the cylinder, flows in the exhaust gas line. PURPOSE: A multi-sac injector is provided to maximize the engine combustion efficiency of all load regions and to remarkably reduce contaminant caused by smoke and NOx in a low-load region. CONSTITUTION: A multi-sac injector comprises a needle(1), a nozzle(2), and a fuel injection hole. The nozzle includes a nozzle chamber(6) with at least two separate fuel flowing spaces. The fuel injecting hole includes a main sac(11) and a sub sac(12). The main sac injects fuel to be suitable for the premixing ignition of a low-load region. The sub sac injects the fuel to be suitable for the diffusion combustion of a middle/high load region.
