    Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily purify the title enzyme useful for the production of enzyme and medicine, in high purity, by culturing E.coli and purifying the cell-free extract of the cultured product with methotrexate-bonded affinity chromatography. CONSTITUTION:An E.coli containing plasmid pT64-1 is cultured and the cell-free extract of the cultured bacterial cell is treated with an ion-exchange column and purified by methotrexate-bonded affinity chromatography and anion exchange chromatography to obtain the objective enzyme.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve heat transport capacity, by a method wherein a radially extended-through slit part communicating with a space part between the outer surface of a wire gauge at a first layer and the inner wall surface of a closed pipe is formed in the wire gauge at a first layer, and a vent passage communicating from the slit part to a steam passage is formed in a wire gauge at other layer. CONSTITUTION:Air bubbles of working fluid generated by means of a heat input from the outside pass through the meshes of a wick 12, a slit part 13, and a vent passage 14 and escape in a steam passage 16. After passage of air bubbles, not escaping after passing through the wick 12 and grown to some extent of a grain size, to the slit part 13, the air bubbles escape through the slit part 13 and the passage 14 to the steam passage 16. Thus, since the inner wall surface of the closed pipe 10, imparting and receiving heat directly to and from the working fluid, is prevented from being covered with air bubbles, normally excellent transfer of a heat to the working fluid is performed. As a result, a heat flux can be increased.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable heat to be simultaneously moved from above to below and from below to above, by providing two heat transfer circuits of the one being a circuit to transfer heat to a position situated above a vaporizer and the other being a circuit to transfer heat to a position situated below the vaporizer. CONSTITUTION:A part of steam generated in a first vaporizer 01 is used in an injector 02, and remaining steam is transferred to a condenser part 10 situated in a lower position through a steam pipe flow passage 11. Condensed working liquid 19 enters a condensate reservoir 12, and enters the injector 02 through a check valve 13 and a condensate return pipe 14. By means of a part of steam generated in the first vaporizer 01, the working liquid 19 is sucked through a condensate return pipe 14 with the aid of the injector 02, and a part of the steam enters a second vaporizer 05. The working liquid is evaporated by means of the second vaporizer 05, and is liquefied by a first condensing part 09 and is returned to the first vaporizer 01.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an electrodeposited thin film of a phthalocyanine compound useful as a catalyst and an organic electronic material, by dissolving an octaalkoxyphthalocyanine compound in an organic solvent, dipping a conductor into the solution and electrifying the solution using the conductor as a working electrode. CONSTITUTION:A compound of formula (R is 1-18C alkyl; M is H2, Mg, Cr, Mn, Fe, Cu, Zn, Pb, etc.) is dissolved in an organic solvent (e.g. dichloromethane, DMF, etc.), a supporting electrolyte (e.g. LiClO4) is added to the solution and the mixture is filled in an electrolytic cell. A conductor (e.g. Pt, graphite, etc.) and a counter electrode are inserted into the mixture to effect the electrolytic deposition of a thin film of a phthalocyanine compound on the conductor. The process enables the production of a thin film free from binder and having freely controllable thickness. The thin film has uniform composition and sufficiently high adhesivity to the substrate. The compound becomes insoluble in solvents other than concentrated sulfuric acid by the electrolytic deposition.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily discriminate the anion contained in an aqueous solution, by applying potential scanning to a polydivinyl ferrocene membrane in the aqueous solution to measure the peak potential of a current-potential curve. CONSTITUTION:A conductor (acting electrode) 3 covered with a polydivinyl ferrocene membrane, a reference electrode 4 and an opposed electrode 5 are inserted in an aqueous electrolyte solution 2. Next, a potentiostat 6 and a function generator 7 are combined to perform potential scanning at a predetermined scanning speed. The obtained current-potential curve is recorded on an X-Y recording needle, and anode peak potential and cathode peak potential are read. Since said potentials show different values by the anion contained in the aqueous solution, the kind of the anion contained in an unknown specimen can be discriminated from said anode and cathode peak potentials.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it possible to transfer heat to the lower part from the upper part without using any mechanical power, by providing check valves at the inlet of a cooling part and in a position right above the connecting part of an upper and a lower heat pipes on the side of a down-pipe at the outlet of a heating part respectively, and by sealing a heating medium in a heat pipe except part of a down-pipe. CONSTITUTION:When a heating part 1 is heated, part of a heating medium 3 is evaporated, and a bubble flow, a plug flow, or a slug flow is produced in the upper and the lower heat pipes 2 and 3 of a heating part. At that time the pressure in a loop-line from check valves 5 to 6 including the heating part 1 is increased, the check valve 6 is opened, the produced bubbles disappear, and the pressure in the loop-line is reduced. Thereby a cold heating medium can be fed into the heating part 1 from a cooling part 4. While a discharged heating medium is fed into a down-pipe 8 via the check valve 6. Since the down-pipe 8 is not completely filled with the heating medium at that time, the discharged heating medium can easily go down into the cooling part 4. With such an arrangement the heating medium heated in the heating part 1 can be transmitted to the cooling part 4 positioned in the lower part of a loop-line, and transfer of heat corresponding to the transmission of a heating medium can be accomplished in the title heat pipe.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To increase the enzymic activity, by the presence of a given amount of dimethyl sulfoxide in a reaction solution in enzymic reaction using pyruvic acid kinase. CONSTITUTION:Dimethyl solfoxide in a volume to give a concentration within the range of 5-20vol% is added to a reaction solution in enzymic reaction using pyruvic acid kinase. The above-mentioned enzymic reaction is carried out at 6-9pH and 20-37 deg.C using further 5-200mmol/l potassium chloride and 1-10mmol/l magnesium chloride as additives. According to this method, since the enzymic activity of the pyruvic acid kinase can be increased by about 50%, the amount of the pyruvic acid kinase to be used can be remarkably reduced in various enzymic reactions and the method is economical.
