Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for preventing the deterioration of a fuel cell is provided to effectively prevent the deterioration of an electrolyte film in a fuel cell stack loaded in a fuel cell vehicle and to improve the performance and durability of a stack. CONSTITUTION: A method for preventing the deterioration of a fuel cell comprises the following steps of: (S101) measuring the fluoride concentration and pH value forlevel of stack effluent coming outexpelled from a fuel cell stack and measuring the flux of stack effluent; (S105) determining the deterioration possibility of the electrolyte film by producing a fluorine flow rate based on the measured fluorine ion concentration or pH value level and flow velocity data of stack effluent; (S109) confirming a deterioration acceleration factor by measuring operation voltage and temperature of a stack, relative humidity of reaction gas provided to the stack, and oxygen partial pressure among air provided to the stack, through sensors; and (S113) controlling the driving condition of the stack and vehicles.
