Abstract: Crude water-containing tetrahydrofuran is purified by passing the crude tetrahydrofuran through three distillation columns, withdrawing water from the bottom of the first column, recycling water-containing tetrahydrofuran from the top of the second column into the first column, passing a sidestream of the first column into the second column, recycling the bottom product of the third column into the first column, and withdrawing a distillate at the top of the first column. Additionally, a sidestream of the second column is passed into the third column and the purified tetrahydrofuran is recovered as the top product of the third column.

Abstract: The continuous process for preparing a polyamide by reacting at least one aminonitrile with water comprises:(1) reacting at least one aminonitrile with water in the presence of an organic liquid diluent at from 90 to 400° C. and from 0.1 to 35x10 Pa in a flow tube containing a Brönsted acid catalyst selected from a beta-zeolite catalyst, a sheet-silicate catalyst or a titanium dioxide catalyst comprising from 70 to 100% by weight of anatase and from 0 to 30% by weight of rutile and in which up to 40% by weight of the titanium dioxide may be replaced by tungsten oxide, to obtain a reaction mixture,(2) further reacting the reaction mixture at from 150 to 400° C. and a pressure which is lower than the pressure in stage 1 in the presence of a Brönsted acid catalyst selected from a beta-zeolite catalyst, a sheet-silicate catalyst or a titanium dioxide catalyst comprising from 70 to 100% by weight of anatase and from 0 to 30% by weight of rutile and in which up to 40% by weight of the titanium dioxide may be replaced by tungsten oxide, the temperature and pressure being selected so as to obtain a first gas phase and a first liquid phase or a first solid phase or a mixture of first solid and first liquid phases and so that the first gas phase is separated from the first liquid phase or first solid phase or from the mixture of first liquid and first solid phases, and(3) admixing the first liquid or the first solid phase or the mixture of first liquid and first solid phases with a gaseous or liquid phase comprising water at from 150 to 370° C. and from 0.1 to 30x10 Pa, to obtain a product mixture.

Abstract: Procedimiento para la separacion por destilacion de amoníaco a partir de soluciones que contienen una lactama y amoníaco, en donde la separacion se realiza a presion absoluta de menos de 10 bar en un aparato de destilacion ad hoc. Por la cabeza se elimina una corriente en forma de vapor que consta substancialmente de amoníaco y en dicha cabeza del dispositivo de destilacion usado hay un condensador para la separacion de amoníaco de la solucion, en el que se condensan parcial o completamente los componentes con un punto de ebullicion más alto que el del amoníaco obteniéndose un condensado. Dicho condensado se puede reciclar del condensador al dispositivo de separacion. Preferentemente en el procedimiento descripto como lactama se usa caprolactama.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing cyclic lactams of formula (II) by reacting a compound (I) of formula (I) with water in the presence of an organic, liquid dilution agent in the liquid phase. Abstract: The invention relates to a continuous method for producing a polyamide by reacting at least one aminonitrile with water. Said method comprises the following steps: (1) at least one aminonitrile is reacted with water in the presence of an organic liquid diluting agent at a temperature of 90 to 400 ~ C and a pressure of 0.1 to 35 x 106 Pa in a stream tube containing a Brönsted acid catalyst selected from a beta-zeolite, phyllosilicate, or titanium dioxide catalyst consisting of 70 to 100 wt. % of anatase and 0 to 30 wt. % of rutile, in which up to 40 wt. % of the titanium dioxide can be replaced by tungsten oxide, in order to obtain a reaction mixture, (2) the reaction mixture is further reacted at a temperature of 150 to 400 ~C and a pressure which is lower than the pressure in step 1, in the presence of a Brönsted ac id catalyst selected from a beta-zeolite, phyllosilicate, or titanium dioxide catalyst consisting of 70 to 100 wt. % anatase and 0 to 30 wt. % rutile, in which up to 40 wt. % of the titanium dioxide can be replaced by tungsten oxide, the temperature and the pressure being chosen in such a way that a first gas phase and a first liquid phase or a first solid phase or a mixture of a first solid phase and a first liquid phase is obtained, the first gas phase being separated from thefirst liquid phase or first solid phase or the mixture of the first liquid phase and first solid phase, and (3) the first liquid phase or the first solid phase or the mixture of the first liquid pha se and first solid phase is mixed with a gaseous phase or a liquid phase containing water, at a temperature of 150 to 370 ~C and a pressure of 0.1 to 30 x 106 Pa, in order to obtain a product mixture.
