Abstract:
A thin-film metal resistor (44) suitable for a multilayer printed circuit board (12), and a method for its fabrication. The resistor (44) generally has a multilayer construction, with the individual layers (34, 38) of the resistor (44) being self-aligned with each other so that a negative mutual inductance is produced that very nearly cancels out the self-inductance of each resistor layer (34, 38). As a result, the resistor (44) has a very low net parasitic inductance. In addition, the multilayer construction of the resistor (44) reduces the area of the circuit board (12) required to accommodate the resistor (44), and as a result reduces the problem of parasitic interactions with other circuit elements on other layers of the circuit board (12).

Temperaturfeste elektrische Bauteile, insbesondere R-Netzwerke, sind auf der Lötseite einer Leiterplatte ange ordnet. Bauteile, die für die Anbringung an der Lötseite einer Leiterplatte vorgesehen sind, weisen an ihrer Träger platte an den Anschlußstellen Ausnehmungen für die An kontaktierung auf. Die Ausnehmungen sind abgeschrägt. Das R-Netzwerk überdeckt den Anschlußfleck auf der Leiterplatte nur zur Hälfte.

Temperaturfeste elektrische Bauteile, insbesondere R-Netzwerke, sind auf der Lötseite einer Leiterplatte angeordnet. Bauteile, die für die Anbringung an der Lötseite einer Leiterplatte vorgesehen sind, weisen an ihrer Trägerplatte an den Anschlußstellen Ausnehmungen für die Ankontäktierung auf. Die Ausnehmungen sind abgeschrägt. Das R-Netzwerk überdeckt den Anschlußfleck auf der Leiterplatte nur zur Hälfte.

An amplifier, in particular for RF-applications, comprises a circuit board (2), at least one amplifier stage with at least one transistor package (8) arranged on the circuit board (2), and a feedback path (12) around the at least one transistor package (8), said feedback path (12) comprising a feedback element (15) with at least one capactive (C) element for blocking the flow of direct current through the feedback path (12) and preferably further comprising at least one inductive (L) and/or resistive element (R). In order to reduce negative effects on the performance of the amplifier due to long printed feedback lines, the feedback path (12) in an amplifier according to the invention is formed of a feedback bridge (9) comprising two feedback lines (13, 14) extending out of the plane of the circuit board (2) from two contact flags (10, 11) of the transistor package (8), and the feedback element (15) bridging over the transistor package (8) between the two feedback lines (13, 14).

A system and method for formatting broadcast/Internet contents according to the preferences of the user in terms of content, format, and presentation style, then presented in the time-slot specified by the user is disclosed. The system executes the following steps of: retrieving programs of interest to the user; storing the retrieved contents into a storage device; customizing stored contents according to predetermined criteria; and, displaying the customized contents corresponding to a time selected by a user. The user specifies the format of the whole program in terms of programs of interests, the length of the programs with respect to the whole program, and the presentation style of the whole program.

A multilayer ceramic device (38) has a capacitor body (42) defining a plurality of electrical terminals on an outer surface thereof. The terminals are interdigitated such that a respective first polarity terminal (44) will be adjacent to a respective second polarity terminal (46) (and vice versa). The capacitor body (42) contains a plurality of interleaved capacitor plates in opposed and spaced apart relation. Capacitor plates of the first polarity are electrically connected to respective first polarity terminals via a plurality of lead structures. Likewise, a plurality of lead structures electrically connect capacitor plates of the second polarity to respective second polarity terminals.
