Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for forming the oxidation layer of a manifold block for a fuel cell stack are provided to uniformly form an oxidation layer in an all over inner path of the manifold block which has a complex structure and a long path. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for forming the oxidation layer of a manifold block comprises an electrolyzer filled with a liquid electrolyte; an electrode(5) for applying electricity to a manifold block(3) and the liquid electrolyte in the electrolyzer; and an oxygen supply device for supplying oxygen to the liquid electrolyte. The electrode which is connected to the liquid electrolyte comprises an electrode inserted into the each inner path of the manifold block. The electrolyte which is inserted into the each path of the manifold block is coated with an insulating tube(5a). In the insulating tube, a hole(5b) for electrically connecting the inner electrode and the outer liquid electrolyte is formed.

Abstract: 본 발명은 연료전지의 작동에 필요한 연료, 산화제 등의 유입 및 출입 통로를 형성하는 연료전지용 매니폴드를 제조하기 위한 진동융착방법에 관한 것으로, 사출 성형된 복수의 개별 매니폴드 중 이웃하는 개별 매니폴드가 서로 접촉한 상태로 진동 융착을 수행할 시, 상기 개별 매니폴드에서 진동 융착에 의한 종속 변형이 발생할 위치를 미리 예측하여, 예측된 위치에 해당되는 개별 매니폴드의 상하에서 상기 개별 매니폴드를 눌러주면서 진동 융착을 수행하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
이에 본 발명은 연료전지용 매니폴드의 제조를 위한 진동 융착시 종속 변형이 발생할 개별 매니폴드의 상하를 누르는 상태에서 진동 융착을 수행하여 진동 융착시 개별 매니폴드의 접착 후 초래되는 종속 변형을 방지할 수 있다.
이에 따라 연료전지용 매니폴드의 내구성을 높일 수 있으며, 개별 매니폴드 간 접착 부분의 분리에 의한 리크(leak)가 생기는 것을 방지할 수 있다.
