Abstract: PURPOSE: A substrate transfer system is provided to reduce the costs for setting up a clean environment by removing the need for the formation of the clean environment in a transfer region of a substrate. CONSTITUTION: A substrate transfer system has a transfer directional mover(41) movable along an Y direction on a rail(35) installed along transfer paths. A rotating shaft(43) is installed on the transfer directional mover. A supporting member(44) is upwardly installed on the rotating shaft, and a receiving box(50) is supported by a side plate unit of the support member. Inside of the receiving box is divided into two rooms(51a,51b) by a horizontal partition(51), and substrate transmitting members(60) are installed in respective rooms. The substrate transmitting member has a pair of long pieces(62) and short pieces(63) installed on both ends of the long piece. Front end of a glass substrate(G) is aligned by pin members(62a) of the long pieces, and the side end of the glass substrate is aligned by pin members(63a) of the short pieces. In the rear portion of the receiving box, a filter member and a blower tool having a fan are prepared. With the blower tool, an airflow is formed toward the opening of the receiving box. Thus, infiltration of the exterior particles into the receiving box is avoided.
