Abstract: A laser radar including a micro-lens array is provided to enhance optical efficiency by making an optical detector increase the intensity of an optical signal received after being reflected on an object. A light source unit(210) generates an optical signal of a predetermined band. A light-transmitting optical lens(220) is formed on an optical path in order to emit an optical signal of the light source unit to a target(230). A light-receiving optical lens(240) is formed to collect the optical signal reflected on the target. An optical band pass filter(250) removes a wavelength except for a wavelength band included in the optical signal outputted from the light-receiving optical lens. A micro-lens array(260) collects the optical signal outputted from the optical band pass filter. An optical detector(270) detects the collected optical signal of the micro-lens array.

Abstract: A Pin photodiode is provided to reduce the leakage current of a pin photodiode with a wave guide by forming a metal layer on a wafer guide pattern. A first semiconductor layer, an absorption layer, a second semiconductor layer, a photo clad layer and a photo cap layer are formed on a substrate(31). After a first insulation layer is formed on the photo cap layer, the first insulation layer is patterned by using a photoresist pattern formed on the first insulation layer. The photo cap layer, the photo clad layer, the second semiconductor layer and the absorption layer are etched by using the patterned first insulation layer as a mask. After the pattern first insulation layer is removed, a second insulation layer is formed on the patterned photo cap layer and the patterned first semiconductor layer. After a photoresist pattern is formed on the second insulation layer, the second insulation layer is patterned by using the photoresist pattern. The semiconductor layer is patterned by using the patterned second insulation layer. After the patterned second insulation layer is removed, a first electrode(41) is formed on the photo cap layer and the first semiconductor layer. After a polyimide layer can be formed on a partial region of the substrate, the polyimide layer is patterned and a second electrode(43) is formed on the patterned polyimide layer.

Abstract: Provided is a millimeter-wave band frequency optical oscillator that can be used as an oscillation frequency signal source for a millimeter-wave forwarded to wireless subscribers from a base station of a millimeter-wave wireless subscriber communication system for a next generation (e.g., fifth generation) ultra-high speed wireless internet service. A pair of an optical fiber amplifier and an optical fiber grating mirror is connected to each of input/output ports of a loop mirror in parallel, so that a dual mode laser resonator is formed which can make simultaneous oscillation in two laser modes suitable for each wavelength. Accordingly, it is possible to obtain a light source that is modulated to a ultra-high frequency (over 60 GHz) by a beat phenomenon between the two laser modes.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An active optical radar apparatus is provided to form focus of lights, reflected from objects in different distances, on light receiving surfaces in the same position of an optical detector by forming the same light path in a light-transmitting optical system and a light-receiving optical system.
