    Abstract: PURPOSE: A parking brake of a foot type is provided to pull a cable through negative pressure of an engine while stepping on a parking brake pedal and to conveniently actuate the parking brake by mounting a diaphragm. CONSTITUTION: A foot typed parking bracket comprises a rod(R) mounted on a parking brake pedal(51); a diaphragm(1) dividing a booster housing(4) into first and second chambers(2); a withdrawing rod(5) operating a cable by being engaged with the diaphragm; a spring(6) pushing the diaphragm; a first valve hole(7) formed in the middle of the diaphragm; a second valve hole(8) installed on an inserting position of the rod; a second valve hole(8) opened while closing the first valve hole; and first/second valve plates(9,10) mounted on the rod to open the first valve hole while closing the second valve hole. The first valve plate opens the second valve plate and the second valve hole by isolating the first valve hole while stepping on the parking brake pedal. Thereby, the parking brake of the foot type conveniently actuates the parking brake by pulling the cable through negative pressure of an engine while stepping on the parking brake pedal.
