Abstract: An approach for curing ultraviolet sensitive polymer materials (e.g., polymer inks, coatings, and adhesives) using ultraviolet radiation is disclosed. The ultraviolet sensitive polymer materials curing can utilize ultraviolet light at different wavelength emissions arranged in a random, mixed or sequential arrangement. In one embodiment, an ultraviolet light C (UV-C) radiation emitter having a set of UV-C sources that emit UV-C radiation at a predetermined UV-C duration and intensity operate in conjunction with an ultraviolet light B (UV-B) radiation emitter having a set of UV-B sources configured to emit UV-B radiation at a predetermined UV-B duration and intensity and/or an ultraviolet light A (UV-A) radiation emitter having a set of UV-A sources configured to emit UV-A radiation at a predetermined UV-A duration and intensity, to cure the ultraviolet sensitive polymer materials.

Abstract: A heat-shrinkable tube or heat-shrinkable cap includes an adhesive layer disposed on the inner surface thereof, the adhesive layer including a low-viscosity adhesive layer formed of a resin having a viscosity of 10 Pa·s or less at a shear rate of 1 s−1 at the heat shrinkage temperature and a viscosity of 100 Pa·s or more at a shear rate of 1 s−1 at the maximum continuous use temperature. The heat-shrinkable tube or heat-shrinkable cap is used for waterproofing an exposed portion of electrical wires of an electrical wire bundle such as a wire harness, in which merely by placing the heat-shrinkable tube or heat-shrinkable cap over the exposed portion of electrical wires, waterproofing and water blocking between strands can be achieved, and outflow of the resin during heat shrinking does not occur. A method of waterproofing an electrical wire bundle uses the heat-shrinkable tube or heat-shrinkable cap.

Abstract: Provided is a photocurable and thermosetting adhesive for inkjet which can increase the thickness accuracy of an adhesive layer formed by curing an adhesive and can further cause the adhesive layer to hardly generate voids.A photocurable and thermosetting adhesive for inkjet according to the present invention contains a photocurable compound, a thermosetting compound, a photopolymerization initiator, and a thermal curing agent, wherein the elastic modulus at 25° C. of a B-staged adhesive is at least 5.0×102 Pa and at most 8.0×104 Pa when the B-staged adhesive is obtained by irradiating the adhesive with light of a cumulative light quantity of 1000 mJ/cm2 so that illumination at a wavelength of 365 nm is 100 mW/cm2.

Abstract: A protection membrane-forming film (1) containing a filler, wherein the average particle size of the filler is not more than 0.4 μm, a protection membrane-forming sheet (2), a production method and an inspection method for a workpiece or a processed product which use the film and the sheet, and a workpiece and a processed product determined as adequate products by the inspection method. The protection membrane-forming film and the protection membrane-forming sheet of the invention enable the formation of a protection membrane having excellent print legibility when subjected to print processing by laser irradiation.

Abstract: Provided is an anisotropic conductive adhesive in which excellent optical characteristics and heat dissipation characteristics are obtainable. The anisotropic conductive adhesive contains conductive particles each comprising a metal layer having Ag as a primary constituent formed on an outermost surface of a resin particle, solder particles having a smaller average particle diameter than the conductive particles, reflective insulating particles having a smaller average particle diameter than the solder particles and a binder into which the conductive particles solder particles and reflective insulating particles are dispersed. The conductive particles and the reflective insulating particles efficiently reflect light, thereby improving light-extraction efficiency of an LED mounting body. Additionally, inter-terminal solder bonding of the solder particles during compression bonding increases contact area between opposing terminals, thereby enabling achievement of high heat dissipation characteristics.

The method includes the steps of: providing an adhesive sheet comprising an adhesive layer comprising at least a curable resin composition whose curing is promoted by irradiation with ionizing radiation and a curing aid which generates a basic substance by irradiation with ionizing radiation; attaching the adhesive sheet to a surface of the structure; and curing the adhesive layer of the adhesive sheet in a state where the adhesive layer is exposed.

Abstract: Provided are reinforcing tape for a flat cable, which can maintain sufficient adhesive force for a long time in a high-temperature, high-humidity environment, and a flat cable that uses this reinforcing tape for a flat cable. The present invention provides a reinforcing tape for a flat cable, the reinforcing tape including a base layer containing a resin as a main component, and an adhesive layer stacked on one side of the base layer, in which the adhesive layer contains a thermoplastic resin and a polycarbodiimide compound, and the polycarbodiimide compound contains an isocyanate group. The content of the polycarbodiimide compound relative to 100 parts by mass of the thermoplastic resin is preferably 0.5 parts by mass or more and 10 parts by mass or less. The polycarbodiimide compound preferably further contains an alicyclic structure.
