A method (300) of additively manufacturing a composite part (102) comprises depositing a segment (120) of a continuous flexible line (106) along a print path (106). The continuous flexible line (106) comprises a non-resin component (108) and further comprises a photopolymer-resin component (110) that is uncured. The method (300) further comprises delivering a predetermined or actively determined amount of curing energy (118) at least to a portion (124) of the segment (120) of the continuous flexible line (106) at a controlled rate while advancing the continuous flexible line (106) toward the print path (122) and after the segment (120) of the continuous flexible line (106) is deposited along the print path (122) to at least partially cure at least the portion (124) of the segment (120) of the continuous flexible line (106).
Abstract:
A method of creating “bioink” has been proposed, which increases the shelf-life and transportability of biological materials for use in bioprinting applications. The current invention also contemplates a composition of biomaterials admixed with trehalose to dehydrate the biomaterials for preservation and transportation. The dehydrated biomaterials can then be rehydrated for use in bioprinting.

A composite material of resin—fluorine-containing boric acid composite particles comprising a resin, and a condensate of boric acid and a fluorine-containing alcohol represented by the general formula RF-A-OH (wherein RF is a perfluoroalkyl group having 6 or less carbon atoms, or a polyfluoroalkyl group, in which some of the fluorine atom or atoms of the perfluoroalkyl group are replaced by a hydrogen atom or hydrogen atoms, and which contains a terminal perfluoroalkyl group having 6 or less carbon atoms and a perfluoroalkylene group having 6 or less carbon atoms; and A is an alkylene group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, or comprising a resin, and a condensate of boric acid, the said fluorine-containing alcohol and an alkoxysilane at a molar ratio of 1.0 or less based on the fluorine-containing alcohol. These composite materials of resin—fluorine-containing boric acid composite particles has good adhesion to inorganic substrates, and the like.

The coating composition of the present invention is characterized in that hydrophobic microparticles, and flat-shaped microparticles forming a card-house aggregate structure, are dispersed in a binder resin dissolved in a solvent. Preferably, the aspect ratio of table faces and end faces of the flat-shaped microparticles is 10 or higher. Preferably, the average particle size of the flat-shaped microparticles in an aggregated state ranges from 125 nm to 200 μm. The coating composition of the present invention can form a coating film having few cracks and can impart high water repellency and high oil repellency without the need for a complex operation.

A method for manufacturing a telescopic shaft including a male shaft and a cylindrical female shaft slidably connected to each other in an axial direction, in which an outer circumferential surface of the male shaft or an inner circumferential surface of the female shaft is coated with a resin coating layer, includes a coating step, a broaching step, and a cooling step. In the coating step, a powder coating material is attached, by a fluid bed dip method, on the outer circumferential surface of the male shaft or the inner circumferential surface of the female shaft which is heated in advance and the resin coating layer is formed. In the broaching step, the resin coating layer is caused to be thin by broaching before cooling of the formed powder coating material is completed. In the cooling step, the thin resin coating layer is cooled.

The present invention provides an infrared reflecting black pigment comprising no harmful elements such as Cr6+ and the like, which exhibits excellent infrared reflecting properties and acid resistance. The present invention relates to an infrared reflecting black pigment that comprises a composite oxide comprising Cu and Zn or a composite oxide comprising Cu, Zn and Al, and has a blackness (L* value) of not more than 29 and a near infrared reflectance of not less than 40%, as well as a paint and a resin composition using the infrared reflecting black pigment.
