Abstract:
A method for treating a piece of wood impregnates the piece of wood with a water repellent, wherein the water repellent is solid at ambient temperatures. The method includes the steps of providing a piece of wood to be treated; heating the piece of wood for a predetermined period of time, the piece of wood being heated at a temperature A; subsequently immersing at least a portion of the piece of wood in a bath of liquefied water repellent, the bath being at a temperature B, for a predetermined period of time. Thereafter the piece of wood is removed from the bath and allowed to cool. The temperature A is above 100° C. and the temperature B is below 100° C. but above a liquefying point for the water repellent, and a differential between temperatures A and B is at least 60° C.
Abstract:
There is provided a dip coating apparatus that includes a sealed case assembly for containing at least one workpiece to be coated. The dip coating apparatus also includes an air pump communicated with the sealed case assembly, for pumping air from the sealed case assembly and injecting air into the sealed case assembly. Further, the dip coating apparatus includes a fresh coating solution container containing a coating solution, which is communicated with the sealed case assembly, for injecting the coating solution to the sealed case assembly and a recycle coating solution container, which is communicated with the sealed case assembly, for retrieving the coating solution from the sealed case assembly.
Abstract:
Provided that a process for manufacturing an elastic roller having a mandrel and a coating film. The process comprise a first step of forming a coating film on an outer peripheral surface of a first mandrel, and a second step of forming a coating film on an outer peripheral surface of a second mandrel. The process further comprises a cleaning step between the steps. The cleaning step comprising: making a cleaning member arranged coaxially with the central axis of a circular coating head, in a downstream side in a moving direction of the first mandrel with respect to the circular coating head, making the cleaning member relatively approach the circular coating head; bringing a surface to be cleaned into contact with the cleaning member; rotating the cleaning member while the surface comes in contact with the cleaning member; and inserting the cleaning member into the center hole.

Abstract:
The present invention reduces the amount of gas consumed, edge-overcoating and splashing and adjusts plating thickness with high precision by providing a wiping nozzle with: thin plates, which are each inserted into a lip from the entrances to the lip for a specified distance to the inside of the two ends of the lip in the sheet width direction in order to seal the gas jet where the thin plates are inserted, and which are movable in the sheet width direction of the lip; and ropes extending in the sheet width direction of the lip so as to track the movements of the thin plates and seal the gas jet in a specified range.
Abstract:
A processing apparatus for processing a flexible substrate, particularly a vacuum processing apparatus for processing a flexible substrate, is described. The processing apparatus includes a vacuum chamber; a processing drum within the vacuum chamber, wherein the processing drum is configured to rotate around an axis extending in a first direction; and a heating device adjacent to the processing drum, wherein the heating device is configured for spreading the substrate in the first direction or for maintaining a spread of the substrate in the first direction, and wherein the heating device has a dimension in a direction parallel to a substrate transport direction of at least 20 mm.

Abstract:
A positioning structure of an object to be coated and its manufacturing method in the present invention is first to have a supporting-positioning member with projections provided at the outer surface of the object to be coated, a restricting-positioning ring mounted at the boundary of a coating range and an induction-identification device installed within the coating range. Then, the object to be coated is positioned in the male mold of a shaping mold and an in-mold shaping label is in advance set in the female mold of the shaping mold and lastly, the male mold and the female mold are combined together and fluid thermal plastic is poured into the shaping mold. Thus, the object to be coated and the outer surface of the induction-identification device can be completely coated with a plastic layer and simultaneously, the plastic layer will be integrally formed with the in-mold shaping label.
Abstract:
A manufacturing facility is provided for manufacturing a product on a foil (FO). The manufacturing facility comprises a deposition zone (10) formed by a clean room wherein at least a first and a second deposition facility (21, 22) are arranged for depositing a layer of a material on the foil. The manufacturing facility further comprises at least one processing facility (31) for processing the deposited layer, said processing facility being arranged outside said deposition zone and comprising a processing trajectory with a first path (31a) away from said deposition zone, towards a turning facility (41) and with a second path (31b) from said turning facility back towards said deposition zone.
