Abstract:
A coating comprises a resin solution including a solution of neoprene latex and liquid asphalt emulsion and an accelerator solution including an aqueous solution of zinc sulfate powder and water. A spray system for applying the coating includes a spray gun having first and second nozzles, a first pump fluidly connected between the first nozzle and a resin solution reservoir for delivering the resin solution to the first nozzle at a first fluid pressure, and a second pump fluidly connected between the second nozzle and an accelerator solution reservoir for delivering the accelerator solution to the second nozzle at a second fluid pressure different from the first pressure. The accelerator solution may be aerated by a source of compressed air prior to discharge from the second nozzle.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for resolving inefficiencies when applying spray adhesive and activator from a two-component, handheld spray gun are provided. One embodiment of the two-component, handheld spray gun apparatus includes a first nozzle and a second nozzle coupled to a common bracket. The first nozzle and the second nozzle each include a spray valve and orifice for dispensing an amount of liquid adhesive or liquid activator from the respective nozzle using only line pressure. Further, a trigger coupled to the first and second nozzles is used to simultaneously dispense the adhesive and activator during spraying. In embodiments, the first and second nozzles dispense adhesive and activator at a particular angle such that an amount of dispersed adhesive intersects an amount of dispersed activator to provide a combined spray pattern on a surface.
Abstract:
A multi-hole or cluster nozzle having several outlet openings for fluid to be atomized. The central longitudinal axes of at least two of the outlet openings are aligned askew relative to one another, where a distance between the central longitudinal axes of these outlet openings and the main longitudinal axis of the nozzle is initially reduced when seen in the outflow direction, without intersecting the central longitudinal axis, and increases again after passing through a minimum distance. Use for example in nozzles for evaporative cooling or for flue gas cleaning.
Abstract:
The invention relates to systems and methods for forming coatings that can elute active agents and coating produced by the same. In an embodiment, the invention includes an apparatus for applying a coating to a medical device including a first spray nozzle, a first coating composition supply conduit, a second spray nozzle, and a second coating composition supply conduit. In an embodiment, the invention includes a method of applying a coating to a medical device including forming a first spray stream, forming a second spray stream, and directing the spray streams toward the medical device so that the first spray stream intersects the second spray stream before hitting the medical device. In an embodiment, the invention includes an apparatus for applying a coating to a medical device including a spray nozzle, a first coating composition supply conduit and a second coating composition supply conduit. In an embodiment, the invention includes a method of applying a coating to a medical device including applying a first composition onto the surface of a spray nozzle, applying a second composition onto the surface of the spray nozzle, generating a spray stream comprising the first composition and the second composition with the nozzle and directing the spray stream at the medical device.
Abstract:
A system and method for injecting a low-pressure spray of solution into a high-pressure spray of liquid produced by a pressure washing system. The system comprises a liquid storage tank for the solution that is operable to be pressurized. The system comprises a wand that is coupled to the liquid storage tank and securable to a high-pressure wand. The system may comprise a high-pressure pump that is operable to produce a high-pressure flow of fluid to the high-pressure wand. The pressure stored in the liquid storage tank provides the force to drive the solution to the discharge of the high-pressure wand.

Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for atomizing a liquid, thereby forming a hollow cone of liquid, comprising a housing into which a first liquid product can be supplied, said housing comprising an outflow end and an insert piece with a guide end that interacts with the outflow end, thereby forming an annular outflow gap, wherein the housing is accommodated in the bottom of a hollow casing; and wherein apertures are present in the bottom, while a second medium can be supplied into the hollow casing, flow out of the apertures and interact with the hollow cone. The invention also relates to a spray drier, with a device according to the invention, to a device for conditioning a liquid product using the invention, and a method for conditioning a liquid product, using a device according to the invention.
Abstract:
A polymerization method in which a first liquid and a second liquid are mixed in a gas phase and polymerized in the form of droplets is disclosed, wherein a polymerizable monomer and a polymerization initiator are each contained in at least one of the first liquid and the second liquid, and at least one of the first liquid and the second liquid is injected in a spatially expanding film shape. By employing the polymerization method of this invention, high-quality polymer can be efficiently produced in large quantity by the droplet polymerization even using a polymerizable monomer with a rapid reaction rate.
Abstract:
A post-mix spray nozzle assembly is provided with a central nozzle forming a first hollow conical spray pattern and a coaxially aligned annular nozzle forming a second hollow conical spray pattern. The first and second hollow conical spray patterns intersect in space remote from the nozzle and form a hollow circular spray pattern.
