Abstract: An intumescent mesh has a flexible grid with a plurality of strands that form a series of openings in the flexible grid, and an intumescent coating applied to the flexible grid. The intumescent coating is made of an expandable graphite and a polymer-based carrier as ingredients and having an activation temperature above which the intumescent coating swells. The grid is sized such that the intumescent coating permits airflow through the flexible grid until the intumescent coating is exposed to temperatures at or above the activation temperature, whereupon the intumescent coating swells to seal the openings and prevent air flow through the flexible grid.

Abstract: Provided are a one-pack addition curable silicone composition compatible with both a good long-term storage property at room temperature under conditions whereby air is blocked to a constant level and the advance of an addition curing reaction at room temperature by being applied in a thin film of 1500 μm or less and exposed to air, which could not be obtained by conventional curable heat-dissipating grease, and a method for storing the same, and a method for curing this composition. A one-pack addition curable silicone composition having as essential ingredients: (A) organopolysiloxane having silicon-atom-bonded aliphatic unsaturated hydrocarbon groups and a specific kinematic viscosity; (B) one or more thermally conductive fillers selected from metals, metal oxides, metal hydroxides, metal nitrides, metal carbides, and allotropes of carbon; (C) organohydrogenpolysiloxane; and (D) a platinum group metal complex having an organic phosphorus compound represented by formula (1) R1x—P—(OR1)3-x (1) (R1 is a monovalent hydrocarbon group, x is 0-3) as a ligand.

Abstract: In a method and a device for producing a powder coating melt, firstly a first powder coating melt is produced from a powder coating premix by means of a screw machine. Powder coating particles are supplied to the first powder coating melt. Then a second powder coating melt is produced by mixing the first powder coating melt and the powder coating particles by means of the screw machine. This allows a simple, gentle and efficient recycling of powder coating particles, in particular of so-called off-spec powder coating particles.

Abstract: A device for processing microstructure arrays of polystyrene-graphene nanocomposites, including a laser generator, a vacuum chamber, an object stage, an ultraviolet filter and a gas flow control unit. The object stage is detachably fixed to a bottom of the vacuum chamber with a passage that can be opened or closed. The ultraviolet filter is provided in the vacuum chamber. A laser light emitted by the laser generator arrives at the object stage through the ultraviolet filter. The object stage is configured to place a sample to be processed. The gas flow control unit is communicated with the vacuum chamber and is configured to control the flow of the gas entering the vacuum chamber. The vacuum chamber is fixed on a three-axis precision positioning platform via a vacuum chamber clamp. The device disclosed herein aims to solve the existing difficulty in processing microstructure arrays of polystyrene-graphene nanocomposites.

Abstract: A coating tank 1 provided with a net belt passage opening is prepared, a slurry obtained by dispersing a rare-earth-compound powder in a solvent is continuously supplied to the coating tank 1 to cause the coating tank 1 to overflow, and a plurality of sintered magnet bodies 10 are arranged on a net belt conveyor 5, continuously conveyed horizontally thereon, and passed through the slurry in the coating tank 1 via the net belt passage opening, to apply the slurry to the sintered magnet bodies. The slurry is subsequently dried to continuously apply the powder to the plurality of sintered magnet bodies. As a result, the rare-earth-compound powder can be uniformly applied to the surfaces of the sintered magnet bodies, and the application operation can be performed extremely efficiently.

Abstract: An applicator head for a curtain applicator for coating a continuous material web with liquid or pasty application medium. The applicator head has an outlet edge extending substantially over the width of the applicator head. The application medium passes out of the applicator head in a free-falling curtain. A rinsing device allows the outlet edge to be supplied with a flowing gaseous rinsing medium. There is also described a method for coating a continuous material web by way of such a curtain applicator. The application medium passes out of the applicator head in the form of a free-falling curtain and subsequently comes into contact with the material web. The region of at least one of the outlet edges can be supplied with a flowing gaseous rinsing medium.
